When I get home I hear Caleb calling someone on Skype. Of course it's Mum.
Our mum has been in hospital ever since Ellie turned 5, she had a disease that takes 5 years to cure, in two more years she'll be here, though I don't want her. I want nothing to change. I want Dad back, I never want to see Caleb, I want Daniel here.
"Sarah? Daydreaming again! Hurry up and do your bloody homework idiot!" Caleb yells. I run upstairs to do my homework, which is text my mum. Ever since Daniel left Caleb's been yelling at me and thinking he can't trust me.
Me: Mum, Caleb keeps yelling at me! I feel like I can't be trusted!
Whenever we talk we never mention dad or Daniel. It's because the only reason Caleb's here is because my dad died in a crash. It was devastating.
Mum: I'm getting out soon baby, then we'll go find Daniel
Daniel and I are always in contact now. Sometimes I don't come home just to visit Daniel and Finn. They have their own place now.
Mum: I have to go sweetie pie! I'll see you soon
Me: bye!
I shut off my phone. I hear a knock on my door. I open it to see Ellie, tears in her eyes and slap marks on her face.
"What happened?!?" I ask.
"Daddy hit me for going to Casey's house," she said between sniffs. I can't believe him! That man should be in jail! Suddenly my brain hurts. "Ellie, come and sit with me on the bed ok?" I tell her.
She runs to the bed as I sit down. "We are gonna go to the hospital tomorrow," I tell her, "though daddy can't know ok?" She nods.
Caleb's POV----v
Those girls are the worst children! Ellie visiting this Casey girl and Sarah! Sarah is hell in a nutshell! She never listens to me and always talks about Daniel. Daniel was the worst until I kicked him out! A guy dating a guy! Horrible! I hear laughing from upstairs. I rush upstairs to Sarah's room to see what their up to.
"Hello Daddy!" Ellie rushes to me and hugs me, like she forgot about the whole Casey incident. "Hey sweetie," I tell her back, "what are you girls doing?" Before Ellie could tell me Sarah pipes up. "I was reading her a book and I kept laughing at most of the parts and then Ellie kept laughing then we both had laughing fits."
"Ok then," I say as I walk out of the room.
