Ron's POV:
I was alone. I found myself sat on the edge of the astronomy tower dangling my feet, my hair blew as the wind hit my face. Hermione was supposed to meet me up here but she ditched me, for Harry. Harry's my best friend I'd support him in anything but it's like I'm not even here anymore. They'd go to Hogsmeade together and leave me to stroll along behind them. I recently just found out that they're going to the Yule Ball together next week but as friends..I felt on hand touch my shoulder I turned around and seen lavender standing giving me a soft smile which I returned
"Beautiful night, isn't it?" She sat down beside me crossing her legs "Yeah, I suppose so." I said. She placed her hand on top of mine, I wanted to move my hand away but I quite liked it. "What's wrong?" I looked over at her confused "Why would you ask that?.." she sighed "obviously somethings bothering you I can tell, you can talk me, Ron. I don't mind.""Nothing major, it's just- Hermione was supposed to meet me here tonight, but she ditched me, for Harry.." I explained. I looked down at my hand which was locked-In with hers. "Don't waist your time on them, it's not worth it. I can stay here with you, we can still have a good time." I smiled and nodded "I'd like that."
I had a great time with lavender she's actually really amazing. "I've got to get back but remember I'm always here to talk if you need me." I smiled and watched as she turned to walked away. "Uh- lavender?..."
She turned around to face me with a smile across her face "yes?" I stood up and rubbed the back of my neck "would you like to go to the Yule Ball with me?.." her face softened and her smile faded"Oh Ron I'm so sorry but someone has already asked me.."
Great...
