Officially summer. I had reached my first goal weight before summer, and although I should've felt proud, I didn't. I needed to lose more, much more.

After that night with Julian, I hadn't spoken to him much, besides some glances and some uncomfortable hellos. I had started to walk to school every day, making sure to get my steps in, plus I wouldn't have to ride with Julian.

Time for your second goal weight, you're still way too fat Lia.

She was right, she always was.

This was the last day before the summer break. Trying on my clothes from last summer was some sort of confirmation that I did indeed lose some weight, most clothes now hung loosely around my shoulders and hips. I wanted to go shopping, but I also didn't. Shopping should be a reward for when I reach my ultimate goal weight, so instead, I sewed some clothes that were way too big. Most I left untouched though, as it felt nicer to hide in my too-large clothes than in small tops that would show my body.

And I knew if Liam or my friends noticed I was losing weight, they'd say something and watch me more closely, which I seriously could not afford. Especially right now, as I was doing a fast of 3 days. My period had stopped coming a while back, I seemed to be losing way more hair than usual, and the dark circles under my eyes and pale skin seemed to be permanent, though it was all worth it.

I slumped my way down the stairs-- this fast, now on my second day, was certainly a challenge. Wearing some mom jeans with a spaghetti top and a zip-up hoodie, as I was always cold nowadays, even though summer started. I greeted my mom who was busy making some oatmeal.

"Morning mom."

"Good morning, honey." My mom mused.

"I asked if Julian could bring you this morning since they are doing some construction on the sidewalks that you take to school."

"I can just detour?" I said, my tone coming out snarkier than I meant.

"Well, I already asked, so just go with him." She muttered before taking her little bowl of oatmeal with her, giving me a small kiss on my forehead, and leaving for work.

Great.

Liam appeared out of nowhere, sitting down at the kitchen counter and pouring milk and cereal into a bowl. "Morning, grumpy."

371 calories.

I gave him an annoyed glare, also sitting down at the kitchen counter and packing my books for school.

"Can you bring me to school?" I asked, turning towards Liam.

"No can do, I'm going on my skateboard." He answered, I stared at the bowl of cereal and let out a heavy sigh. Julian, it is.

Then, he placed the bowl in front of me, adding a spoon and looking at me expectantly.

371 calories.

I frowned and looked at the bowl and then up at him, "What?"

"Eat it." He looked serious as he focused his full attention on me.

"No thanks, I already had breakfast," I muttered, standing up and shoving the bowl away from me, making some milk spill on the kitchen counter.

"No, you didn't." He said, walking behind me as I made my way to the front door.
