When Tae woke up, he was groggy and in pain. He was practically tied down onto the bed and he started to panic, which set off his heart monitor.

A couple of nurses rushed inside to try calming him down and tried to explain his injuries to him.

"Please Mr. Kim, you had major surgery on your back that was very near your spine. The reason you are set up this way in your bed is to prevent you from doing any more damage to yourself. Even if it's unintentional. But you need to calm down."

Once Tae understood what happened, he slowly calmed down and looked at his bandages.

His doctor walked in and said, "I see you're finally awake. We were getting worried about you. You were out longer than we anticipated, but luckily you're up now. You were shot in the back, and you have had microsurgery to repair the damage.

It was very touch and go for a while there. The bullet struck very close to your spine, and had it hit its target correctly, you'd probably be dead right now. We have removed the bullet but you must not move around too much for now. There's still chance that you could rip your stitches and you could still wind up paralyzed. I'm not trying to scare you, but I need you to understand the severity of your injuries. You still need time to recuperate. Your boss and your friends have been asking for you since you were brought in. I will alert them that you have awakened and I'm sure they will come see you soon. But for now, please rest and sleep if you get sleepy. Trying to keep yourself awake won't do you any good."

Tae nodded at him and asked for his friends. The doctor walked out and the nurse administered pain meds into his IV bag, then walked out.

Meanwhile, in Jungkook's room.

He had just finished telling Mr. Kim, Yoongi and Joonie about what happened the day before.

He explained how the car in front threw a grenade and started the attack. And how they eventually managed to take Jin.

"I'm pretty sure they were Japanese, but I don't know what clan or organization they are from. I just know they were pretty determined to get Jin and didn't care how many of them died."

"They must've been paid handsomely then. That's the only loyalty men like them know." Yoongi replied.

As they continued talking, they were interrupted by a knock on the door. They then saw Tae's doctor walk in and speak with them.

"Mr. Kim sir, your son has awakened and is fully alert now."

Yoongi looked at Jungkook and Joonie in a questioning manner, then turned back to the doctor.

"Thank you doctor, what can you tell me about his condition so far and what to expect for his recovery?" Mr. Kim asked the doctor.

"Well, he has limited mobility for the time being, and he will have to remain in the hospital for a while. He will need to be extra careful to not rip his sutures when he moves.

It will be a good while before he's back to 100%, so I recommend that he take it easy once at home. And he will need help with the care of his stitches. I could recommend a nurse for you if you'd like. He seems like the stubborn type that will want to return to his usual routine as soon as possible, but I really hope you explain the seriousness of his injuries to him."

Mr. Kim nods as he takes in everything he is told.

"I understand doctor, and thank you for everything. I will be sure to get it through to him. I will go see him now."

The doctor excused himself and walked out, then Mr. Kim turned back to the others.

"They think he's your son?" Joonie asked.
