  Why did I decide to go for a jog at 3 am alone? Some people might call me crazy, but I call myself dedicated.

I have to prepare for my next track meet, coach says I'm the best runner on the team. She's right though.

I can outrun anyone, even the 4 time state champion, which is now me.

Running is in my blood. My parents say I learned to run before I learned to walk.

Most people don't understand how I'm so fast but I believe it's because I put the work in.

Usually my best friend would come running with me, she is almost as dedicated as I am, but she said she was busy tonight.

I should start heading home soon, I just want to get one more lap in.

I put my earbuds and start blaring my favorite Ashnikko song to pump me up.

As I'm running a notice a van with dark windows driving around but I don't think anything of it since I live in a fairly safe neighborhood.

I continue my run and take a look at my watch.

I run into something and fall on the floor.

I look up and see two tall men standing in front on me.

"Princess Lilith Collins, it is time to return home." One of them says and starts to reach for me, I panic and kick him in the balls.

I take off sprinting home running faster than I ever had before.

I see the same van from before pull up ahead of me and I stop in my tracks.

"Don't make this hard princess, just get in the van." The guy from before says and I run the opposite way.

He appears in front me at lightning speed, almost as fast as me.

"H-how did you?" I question in shock.

"Grab her." He says and I feel someone pick me up from behind and carry me into the van.

"Let me-" I try to scream but am muffled by a hand over my mouth and am thrown into the van the door shutting.

"Y'all didn't have to throw her so hard!" A familiar voice says and I turn around to see Elise, my best friend.

"Elise! Did they catch you too?" I say panicked hugging her feeling safe with her here.

"She's with us princess." One of the guys says and I look at her in disbelief.

"No... she would never, you kidnapped her and you're kidnapping me!" I yell looking at her for answers.

"Lilith I- they're right. I'm with them." She says and I am in shock.

I scoot away from her and start banging on the door when all of a sudden it opens. I see a tall handsome man with shaggy brown hair and pale skin. He feels familiar but I don't have time to get to know him. I kick him and jump out of the van.

I take off running for my life with tears in my eyes.

I can't believe Elise is behind this. My best friend.

I run as fast as I can not looking back to see if they're behind me.

I can see my house but I stop in my tracks when I see the handsome man from the van on my front porch.

He sees me and sprints towards me. I can't believe my eyes. How did he get there so quickly? How is he so fast?

I turn to start running but am stopped by Elise holding a syringe.

"I'm sorry Lilith I don't want to do this but we have to get you home before the blood moon." She says and grabs me.

I feel a sharp pain in my arm and she lets me go.

I start feeling dizzy, "what did you do to me?" I say slurring. I feel lightheaded and faint.

I feel myself blacking out and I fall into someone's strong arms.

The last thing I hear is, "You're back my perfect princess, and now that we have you again, you're never leaving."

//Cassius's POV//

I catch Lilith in my arms and pick her up bridal style. I glare at Elise and my men for causing a scene.

"Ethan and Elise go make sure there are no witness, Xander get the van started while I get Lilith comfortable and tied up.

She's beautiful, I mean I've seen her before from pictures and from a distance but never up close.

I've known her since I was 12 years old and she, she was only 8. Now she's days away from turning 18 and I'm 22. She's been gone for 10 years but I've been reporting back to her parents every year on her birthday.

Elise would send us updates and pictures. She is beautiful.

"There were no witnesses sir." Ethan says and climbs into the front seat as Elise climbs into the back.

"I'm sorry for drugging her Cassius but I had no choice." Elise says scared.

We never got along as children, I always believed I was higher than her and should have never had to associate with someone like her.

"You are excused but only because you've been by her side for the past 10 years and kept her safe." I say to her.

"She's my best friend, always has been, always will be." She says and looks at her full or sorrow and despair.

I know it was wrong of me to involve her in the kidnapping process but my men are not the smartest nor the fastest. I needed her on my team.

"We should begin our journey now! It is a long way back to Nevermore." I say and Xander starts off.

This is only the beginning of a excruciating long journey.
