The white floors didn't suit Tanaka. He's always thought he'd go with some black or darker theme, but here he is. Standing with the groom as he gets his tie on.
"Dude am I shaking? I feel like I'm shaking," Tanaka clears his throat with his hands visibly shaking with excitement.
Ennoshita hummed, "you look like a girl about to confess to her crush."
"Hey!" Tanaka snapped his head over to face ennoshita, smiling as he slowly drops his hands to his sides, "thank you Chika."
Chika.
The name Tanaka has said since their third year, a year tanaka surely regrets.
The year of desperation and loneliness as their Godess kiyoko moved onto her next step, college.
A time were truth and dare games were more popular than spin the bottle and cards flooded their hands.
All it took was one night. It was only once. A moment he could never forget, a moment Ennoshita loved.
The moment-
"Hey are you okay man?" Tanakas muscular hand clapped on Ennoshitas back, causing the latter to stumbling a little.
"Oh yeah, sorry. Just thinking, this is your big day," Ennoshita spreads his arms open as if revealing a title to the world, "You're finally marrying the love of your life."
Tanaka smiles so bright, his smile as soft as it had always been, a laugh leaving his perfect mouth. "Don't scare me like that, I thought you were in some internal doom hole or something!"
Internal doom hole, that sounds really nice right now. I'm sure it wouldn't hurt more than being here does.
"You know me," He smiles back at Tanaka and pats his back, "Now come on, Nishinoya is outside."
"NOYA? NOYYYAAAAA," and with that, tanaka was out the door, calling for his best friend.
Leaving Ennoshita. Leaving Ennoshita with his tightened fists and angry eyes. He couldn't cry, not again. He's cried last night until he felt to drained to continue, his eyes were already too puffy to continue crying.
He sighed, letting his hands rest against his sides and his face drop into his usually tired expression. The mirror looked back at him, "I look nice" he thought.
The makeup tech. and the suit complimented him well and fit just right. His eyes weren't red and puffy unless you looked close, which he doubted anyone would look close anyways. So it worked out.
The black suit with orange accents reminded him of his time playing volleyball, all his old teammates and all his old dreams.
All his old dreams of standing up on the altar with a smooth white suit with his hands holding Tanaka's as the words come so easily to both of them.
"I do."
