Harry is now eighth year.Fred Wesley has graduated two years ago.
The whole fiasco at the department of mysteries happened but Sirius is alive.
(So is Remus)Fred is alive because he and harry had been together since Harry was 15 and Fred 16.Voldemort found out and basically bribed Harry to died in the forbidden forest to keep Fred alive. So Fred watches Harry die Hagrid carried Harry body back to school.
Fred runs to Molly and cries in her arms (good mother award goes to molly also keep in mind no one knows Fred and Harry were together) Sirius (who also fought in the battle) broke down on Remus. Meanwhile molly has taken Fred inside and he tells Molly about his and Harry's relationship. Harry the wakes up and everything is pretty much the same towards where Harry snapped the elder wand. Of course Harry and George are still together still only Molly knows but Ron knows Harry is gay and Harry knows Ron is gay but the both refuse to tell Hermione.
And thus where our story begins
