Special Ham

POV: Kendall Knight

Kurt seems to fit in the band really well and we're all starting to get used to him. I tried to make him feel welcome when he joined a few weeks ago, but it was such a big change. We were all headed to Rocque Records now because Griffin had some important news to give us.  

"I need you guys to find the special ham." Griffin stated as we all settled in the studio. 

"Come again?" I said, making sure I heard him right.

"You need to find the special ham!" He had a very serious look in his eyes that told us he wasn't joking. "The special ham is a secret weapon in the music industry. When you take a bit of the special ham, it makes you sing like an angel. It also makes you smell like turnips, but I'll get to that later."

"Okay... and where is this special ham?" Asked Logan as we all leaned in to hear what he would say.

"I don't know! That's the problem. No one knows where it is! YOU have to be the first ones to find it," he said, pointing to James, Logan, Carlos, Kurt, and I. "I want you to search all over L.A. for it."

"Okay, when should we start-" Kurt started, being interrupted by Griffin.

"NOW! Go quick before anyone else finds it. Everyone in the music industry is searching for it right now!"

As we hurried down the streets of L.A. we all were searching far and wide for this special ham. James hunched over to look under bushes, Logan climbed palm trees to see if it was kept in birds nest, and Kurt dug inside trash cans. There was no sign of the special ham. We heard some chit-chat coming from the sidewalk. We looked up to see five boys around our age. And then I realized. IT WAS ONE DIRECTION!!!!!!!!!!! 

"Hi, I'm Harry! Wait, are you guys Big Time Rush?!" Harry Styles said slowly in his thick British accent.

"Yeah! We're huge fans!" Screamed Carlos.

"Cool! We love your music too!" Said Zayn.

"So I'm guessing you guys are looking for the special ham too?" I didn't know who was talking at first, but then I looked down and saw that it was Louis. 

"Yep," Logan told him. 

"So, who's this?" Liam said, pointing to Kurt.

"Oh he's our newest member. He just joined a couple of weeks ago," James told them.

"Awesome! How are you liking L.A.?" Liam questioned. Then the strangest thing happened. Kurt began to cry. I looked around and everyone seemed confused like me. 

"Will you excuse us for a second?" I told the five lads standing in front of me. They nodded and I grabbed Kurt's arm, dragging him away from the group.

"What's wrong?!" I asked.

"Oh it's just-" He began to cry harder. "One Direction. They- they remind me of my ex boyfriend Blaine. We used to sing their songs together and seeing them remind me of him."

"It's okay. I know exactly what to do." I grabbed my wand from my back pocket and walked back to the group.

"Kendall don't-" James tried to stop me.

"I have to. They made one of our band members sad and we made a pact to ALWAYS stick together. We have to protect Kurt too."

"But what did we do?" Harry asked. They all looked very confused.

"Your music is too catchy and it reminds Kurt of his ex boyfriend." I pointed my wand to the group of boys and said the magic spell.

"Diabetes!" Smoke circled around the boys bringing them out of our sight. Suddenly, as the smoke cleared, 5 gnomes appeared. They looked around at each other and screamed. 

"YOU WILL RUE THIS DAY!" They screamed together. Maybe I made a mistake.
