It's been five years since my father, also known as the king of Hell, brought me to Hell after my mom died in a car accident. After only two months in Hell I started working for my father, under the name of Deku. When someone starts working for my father they can either keep their name or choose a new one. I chose to be called Deku.
Every demon has abilities that are supposed to help them with their work. Those abilities are:
1. Superhuman strength and agility.
2. Mortals can't see us unless we want to be seen.
3. We can conjure flames from thin air.
4. We don't get burned easily.
5. We can make ourselves look human.
6. We can teleport short distances.Every demon has these abilities, but some can have more. For example, my father can look into the deepest desires of ones soul. I however can see someone's deepest fears and insecurities to exploit them. It's never been that useful in Hell but it might prove to be vital in the Overworld. Despite this, even after becoming a demon people still have their quirks.
I started out by filing the names of the souls that are damned here for eternity, but quickly moved up the ranks with one goal in mind. To become a Contractor.
A Contractor's job is to get mortals to sign contracts. If a mortal breaks their contract or doesn't hold up their side of the bargain by a specified time, we take their soul and they become a demon, unless specified otherwise.
Why would I want such a job?
Well, reason one: I don't have to see my father as much.
Reason two: Contractors can move freely between Hell and the Overworld. No one's allowed in the Overworld unless it's for work, so becoming a Contractor is the fastest way to get back up there, even if it's just for a little bit. It's been so long since I've felt the Sun's warm kiss on my pale skin. Or breathed in fresh, clean air. I miss the sky, the people, the freedom. I miss everything really.
Although Dabi says I shouldn't get my hopes up. He's been working here since before I came to Hell and is already a contractor. He has black horns like mine and a pointed tail, but no wings.
Dabi is his alias and I don't know his real name, or the details on how he became a demon. All I know is that he made a contract with my father.

I currently work in the Fields of Punishment where we torture sinners. We get our own rooms and we have access to all methods of torture that fit the sinner's punishment. I'm friends with two other demons who work here named Himiko Toga and Twice.
Toga has blood red horns and carries a knife wherever she goes.
Twice has black wings and wears a gray and black bodysuit with red and green wristbands containing measuring tape.
They're both really odd but I like that about them. Although Toga can be scary sometimes.
I was doing my job, my assigned sinner covered in blood on the floor, when my boss walked into my room. He's a very round man with a red tail and horns like Toga. He always wears a khaki suit and pants with a gray tie and brown dress shoes. He's bald so I can see where his horns attach to his head, which always makes nauseous. I never liked him. He's really boring and treats us like we're unimportant.
"You've been promoted." He says monotonously, without looking up from his clipboard.
I freeze, then turn to him and ask, "To what position?"
He glances at me lazily and says, "Contractor."
I mentally burst out in excitement as a wide smile spreads across my face. Finally! After all this time I'll be able to go back to the Overworld!
My excitement was cut short when my now ex-boss spoke up again.
"There is one condition." He said while handing me a sealed envelope that had my father's seal stamped on it. "Although I wasn't told the details."
With that, he strolled out of the room, leaving me alone with the sinner who was still lying on the floor.
I slowly open the envelope and the letter to reveal my father's handwriting. It read:
Izuku,
I'm promoting you today, although I have one request. I have a job for you in the Overworld. If you're willing to accept it then we'll discuss the details over dinner. If not then you can kiss your position goodbye.
Choose wisely.
Sincerely, DadI was shaking with anger. Was he really threatening to take this away from me? This position means everything to me! I take a few deep breaths and place the letter back in the envelope. I then watch as it bursts into hot flames in my palm, turning to ash.
I walk out of my old room and discard the ashes in a trash can. I then wander down the hallway, my shoes tapping on the black polished floor until I reached Toga's room.
I open the door to see her standing in front of a bloody sinner that's lying limply against the wall. I feel a little sorry for the guy since I know he's gonna go through the same thing tomorrow. Toga turns to the door and sees me entering the room. A wide smile spreads across her face.
"Deku!" Toga squeals as she dives at me with her arms outstretched, forgetting about the knife in her hand. I dodge her hug-attack and she falls face first onto the floor.
"Owwwww!" Toga pouts, looking up at me.
"Toga, you could've stabbed me!" I shouted. Unlike Toga, I'm half human can still be killed by a stab wound. My soul would automatically become that of a full demon, but my humanity is the one thing I haven't lost since coming to Hell.
Toga scrambles to her feet, her regular school girl uniform covered in fresh blood.
"I got promoted today." I grinned, "To Contractor."
Toga was silent for a few seconds before lunging at me and trapping me in a hug, covering me in blood.
"I'm so happy for you Deku!" She beamed before she pulling away and ushering me into the hallway. We scurried over to Twice's room and Toga went inside then came out with Twice a few seconds later.
"Hey Deku! I heard you got promoted!" He says enthusiastically and then says, "Yeah, congrats." In an unexcited voice.
As we walk together down the shiny black hallways of the Fields of Punishment, I start to wonder what kind job my father has in store for me.

I sat at the opposite end as my father at a long walk dark oak dining table. The tension was so thick you could cut it with a blade. The only reason I came was to get information about my job in the Overworld. Nothing else mattered at the moment."I bet your wondering what your job is supposed to be." Father voiced, breaking the silence. He put his fork down and rested his chin on the palm of his hand in a cocky manner.
"I have a client in the Overworld who is about to meet his deadline. I want you to watch over him and his household. Specifically his youngest son." He explained.
I stare at him suspiciously. If it was his client why can't he handle it? Or was it no ordinary client? I began to subconsciously mutter about this before father spoke up again.
"He's quite famous in Japan. You know him as the Flame Hero Endeavor."
I looked up at him in surprise. He wanted me to spy on the number two hero? Or more specifically his son?! Why do I have to do this?! Although, something did stand out to me.
"Why his son? If Endeavor made the contract then why do you need me to watch over his son?" I questioned.
He smirked evilly at this and then explained, "If Endeavor can't uphold his side of the bargain, then his son's soul belongs to me."
