When I saw him, my heart stopped. I was at swim team try outs and standing right in front of my was a really hot kid. "Whatcha looking at?" My friend Casey asked me, poking me on the shoulder. "Uhhhh no one" I replied looking back at her. We were sitting on the bleachers in our suits, watching people swim. I saw the hot kid stand up and walk toward the coach when the coach called the name Luke Sanders.
"Omg Vonnie, you like Luke?" Casey squealed. "Shut up!" I whispered. "And don't call me Vonnie! And no I don't like him! "
"Then why were u staring at him?" Casey asked. "Cuz I am awesome." I replied. I hate to lie, so when I want to lie I usually just say stupid things. Casey squealed again. "Let's call him Sandy,you know, like a code?" "Uhhhhh" I say. "Sandy it is!" She grinned.
At that time, 'Sandy' was about to swim.
As he stood on the block, I noticed his muscular body and blond shaggy hair. He was cute. Then he stood on the block looked over at me and grinned. i froze. then he dove in. I watched him swim. He was and awesome swimmer, and looked sooooo cute. Casey poked my shoulder and grinned saying "our sandy" . "Good job" our coach said to him when he finished. I looked at the clock. 1 min for 100 yard butterfly. "Not bad," I muttered.
I look up and Luke sits next to me."hey," he says. " I'm Luke" I grin. " I'm Veronica" I reply. "You're a good swimmer" I add. he grins. "We should race sometime" he says. "I'm a member at orchard park country club, we can go there sometime and race. Would Saturday work?"
I grin really big . "Ya" I say " here's my # " he says giving me a piece of paper. " I'll call or text you on Saturday and tell you when ill pick you up." I grin really really big. "Kk" I say and run in the bathroom to freak out.
