Stay With Me: A Karry Short Story

Surprise from Krypton

Flashback, Krypton's final day*

A whole planet was on the edge of ending with the entire population not having the idea, they where all completely fine going on with their lives. Families and other people were just minutes of experiencing the final day of their planet with sadly also theirs. As the regular day was passing by with everything okay the whole ground started shaking furiosly making the whole kryptonian civilization starting to run and panic not knowing what was happening. They saw many other people trying to hide in some safe place and avoid the big structures of their city Argo going down and other more advanced exploding thanks to the big earthquake with also the ground starting to cracked in the whole area. People where scared and didn't understand what was happening but their instincs told them that they needed to hide somewhere to save their lives not knowing the real reasons for the whole earthquakes on their home planet.

At the ship launch control zone where Jor-El, Lara and infront of them a pod where their son Kal-El was sleeping peacefully, they put him with a white blanket on top and also underneath for protection. With one final kiss from Lara the pod closed before it got activated by Jor-El with him seeing along side his wife how the pod's engine started and seconds later was launched out of the station where every technological ship was developed. After the pod was out of their sight and going out quickly both Jor-El and Lara had tears on their eyes and where hugging eachother as they where saying goodbye to their son just a couple of days of being born. They did this to saved him from what was happening today, the destruction of Krypton which sadly was inevitable. So they took the hardest decision of their lives, they put Kal-El in that pod with a destination to another planet which he then discovered it was called Earth where Jor-El was hopeful that his son will arrive and adding that he wanted Kal-El to survive this catastrophy no matter what, but he wasn't gonna be alone in this big interestellar trip.

Behind them was Alura Zor-El with his daughter Kara Zor-El while her husband Zor-El was preparing another pod quickly while the ground was shaking with just some space for them to breath and keep their balance. Also the explosions from the horizon where heard making the young girl Kara scared while her mother was hugging reasurring her that everything will be alright. Moments later Zor-El finished preparing the pod and returned to where his wife and daughter where standing and now they knew that the moment had arrived. One thing they never wanted to do, but it was necessary as it was their daughter's life which was on the line, and both Alura and Zor-El will do anything in their power to protect Kara, no matter what.

"Your pod is now connected to Kal-El's, you will follow him to Earth" Zor-El said with a hand on Kara's shoulder telling her about the direction she was gonna go while being inside the ship which also will follow her baby cousin.

"I am not afraid father" Kara replied with a small hint of bravery in her voice looking at her father and mother as well but still a little scared of all the noice at the background which told her many things but neither where good ones sadly. Zor-El nodded and with one final sad smile he went towards a small panel where the launch system was.

"The trip will be long, but you will be asleep and both me and your father will be always on your dreams I promise" Alura said now looking at her daugther while taking both of her hands softly rubbing them reasurring Kara that things will go well, she hated to lie to Kara but it was something she needed to do.

"You will go to Earth with Kal-El and you will protect him, thanks to the bright yellow sun of the planet you will get extraodinary habilities and also have the chance to do amazing things with them. But you need to use them wisely my sweet Kara" Alura finished saying to her daughter telling quickly details about that mysterious planet that she knew thanks to Zor-El, Jor-El and also Kayel which told her and the council about some time ago after knowing the fate of their planet Krypton.
