Lori
I parked my car near my old family home and tried to calm my nerves. I hated being here. This was my home, my place of fond memories of my childhood and teenage years. Yet it was also the place where my father forced my brother to go to some camp for the entire summer. We were all fine with it of course since we'll see our brother before school even started. Sure, the times were tough and challenging at times..however we managed to pull through and waited for our brother to get back home.
What hopeful fools we were thinking that he will come back. After all, the camp never existed in the first place. Our father sent our brother somewhere unknown and for what...a stupid object being broken. After that things changed for us. For one, my mother divorced our father and got married to someone named Lugar Kenneth. Secondly, we started to despise our father and eventually cut him out of our lives all together. Lastly, my bonds with my sisters got stronger since we didn't trust our father to do anything.
"Babe, are you okay?" Alexander, my husband of two months, asked. I forgot to mention that Bobby and I broke up over what happened. It was hard for a while, but eventually we became great friends.
"Yes. I'm just preparing myself to see my sisters, brother in laws and my parents." I said.
"It'll be okay Lori. Besides I'm right by your side every step of the way." Alexander said which made me blush. Alexander always made me feel better despite what is happening in my life. Which is part of the reason that I fell in love with him in the first place.
"You're right. Now let's head inside." I said as we opened my car doors and entered the Loud House. My mother, sisters and there husbands (the ones who aren't still in school) are sitting in the living room.
"Lori!! It's great to see you." My twenty six year old sister, Leni said. She was married to Chaz who was always good for Leni. He really helped her through these challenging times.
"Nice to be back. So where is everyone?" I asked.
"Lola, Lana and Lily are in the dinning room and Lisa is in her room working on something." My twenty five year old sister, Luna asked. She is dating a guy named Hiro which was surprising since she was dating Sam before Lincoln went missing.
"Thanks Luna. Anyway...Is he here?" I asked.
"Yep. He's in the kitchen working on dinner." Luan said. She was dating her girlfriend, Maggie who was always comforting Luan when she remembered our brother.
"That's just..great." I said with a harsh undertone.
"I wish I could just hit him or something." Lynn uttered quietly. She is twenty three years old and dating Francisco. She started to become a true and honorable athlete after my brother went missing and even tried searching for him a couple of times before giving up.
Sighing...I quickly sat down and wondered how thing's would've gone if Lincoln was never sent away. I would've married Bobby and he would be with Ronnie Anne or some other girl. I hate how divided my family became, but I can't stop myself from blaming dad. He caused all of this with his irrational decision to send Lincoln away despite our protests.
"Thinking of Lincoln again?" Leni asked.
"Yes. I still have hope that he's alive somewhere waiting for us to find him. But I don't know where to start." I admitted causing Alexander to hug me. Before my sister could say something, Lisa rushed down the stairs and said:
I Found Lincoln
Those three words started the adventure of a life time for my family and I. And started the process of healing us too. If only it could prepare us to see Lincoln's five wives and his new life...
But what can I say, we would've never known how different my brother was without it.
Hope you enjoyed this chapter...Bye 👋
