𝑻𝑯𝑬 𝑩𝑶𝑿 ~ 𝗈𝗋𝗂𝗀𝗂𝗇𝖺𝗅 𝗌𝗍𝗈𝗋𝗒

𝑪𝑯𝑨𝑷 𝑻𝑬𝑹 2

"Rise and shine!" Vita yelled from across the hall, "It's 9:30 am."

I groaned and got up. I winced as the bright light stung my eyes. I picked up my clothes and took a quick shower to wake me up more. While I was in the shower, I couldn't help but think about last night.

"I should probably apologize to her." I thought.

I got out of the shower and put my clothes on. I tidied up the room and headed downstairs for breakfast. I could hear the frying of the eggs and bacon from the hallway.

Vita noticed me coming down the stairs and said, "Good morning! You know you drool when you sleep."

I stood there frozen.

"It's ok I do too," She rolled her eyes playfully, "Also sorry about last night it's just hard now that my mom is gone and all. I shouldn't have acted that way."

"Oh no it's ok I get it," I sat down on the table and helped Vita with breakfast, "I miss my mom and dad too."

Just then, I heard a glass break in the kitchen.

"Oh my gosh I'm so clumsy," she knelt down to pick up the broken glass. I noticed she had a frown on her face, "I'm so sorry about that!"

"It's ok we all make mistakes," I say hoping to cheer her up.

Once we finished cleaning it up, I got more glasses to drink from and set them down at the table. Vita grabbed some plates and silverware.

"You can go ahead and eat. I need to give Roxy her breakfast!"

"Ok!" I look down at the food she made.

"Wow her parents must be really good chefs this food looks so good!" I thought, "And why did she flinch again when I mentioned my mom and dad?! Does she not have a good relationship with them? But she said she missed her mom. Maybe it's just her dad then-"

My thoughts got interrupted by Vita running down the stairs. I look up to see worry in her eyes.

"What's wrong?" I say concerned.

"I think Roxy is gone"

"WHAT?" I shrieked, "Are you sure she didn't go outside?"

"I don't know," She said panicking, "You go check the backyard, I'll check the front yard!"

I got up quickly and ran to the backyard, "Ok."

Sliding the backyard door open, the salty air from the cold yard made it into the house.

I walked out and frantically looked on the deck, squatting to look if she was hiding under it. Even though they're wasn't much to look under I still took my time and thoroughly swept the deck. By the time I was done with the whole backyard, it was already mid afternoon. The bright sun was shining on me making me sweat until my clothes stuck to my body.

While my body was tired, my head couldn't stop thinking on what could've happened, "Could Roxy been kidnapped by the box person?" I guessed, "Where is the "box person" taking them? Will we ever be able to get them back?"

Suddenly, from the corner of my eye I saw Vita coming. I straighten up not wanting her to see the worry in my face, "Did you find anything?" I asked curiously, "I couldn't find anything back here."

Vita look down at the gravel and paused for a second before dropping on her knees. She covered her eyes and started crying into her hands, "N-no, I looked e-every w-here, she says in between sobs, "D-do y-you think t-they t-took her too?"

"I-I don't know," I walk over to her and rubbed her back, "But if they did i know we can get everyone back. We just have to fight twice as hard as them." I assured trying to comfort her.

"Y-yeah you're r-right," she stuttered, "We should eat the breakfast before it gets cold." Vita got up and wiped her tears with the sleeve of her sweater. She walks towards the stairs while I followed.

We both ate in silence, hoping everything would just go back to normal.

Chaim was sitting at his massive dining room table. He was starving since he was never able to learn how to cook for himself. There were always butlers in his house that escorted his food and chefs who would always prepare top of the line food.

He groaned bored out of his mind. He looked up at his clock and saw that it was 12:34. Chaim remembered he was supposed to meet Eve and Vita at school.

He got up and picked up his phone. He decided to leave the door unlocked since no one was in town that could rob him. Chaim got out his phone and texted the two girls.

The texts-
Me: I'm on my way to school. Are you guys there yet?
Eve: Well- uhhhh there was sort of a problem. We'll tell you at school.
Vita: yeah and I accidentally made extra waffles... would you like some?
Me: YES PLEASE
Vita: uhhh ok...

Relieved he kept his head high and walked towards the school building.

"Well I think we should start getting ready," Vita says plainly, "I'll wash the dishes you can pack the waffles for Chaim. We shouldn't keep him waiting."

Vita paused holding up her orange juice, "WE NEVER KNOW IF SOME BOX PERSON MIGHT TAKE HIM!" Vita waved the orange juice frantically spilling it all over the floor.

I grab the rest of the orange juice from her before she makes a bigger mess, "How about I just clean up..."

"Ok that's fine by me just make sure the BOX PERSON who took all of us doesn't take me either," Vita rants, "I mean they love just taking people out of the blue!"

"Ok how about you go get changed upstairs." I guided her to the stairs and to her room and quickly ran down stairs to tidy up the kitchen. I could hear Vita ranting upstairs as I finished packing up the waffles.

"And it's like... why do you want our parents? Or my dog? Huh? Cause if you wanna fight then I'm all for it," she said as she descended down the stairs.

"I'll be right back then we can go," I quickly run up the stairs and head down the hall to put on some new clothes. I rummage through my suitcase quickly and pick out some shorts and a tee shirt. I change as quickly as possible not knowing how long it would take Vita to rant before she runs out of things to say.

I was about to head out when I noticed the toy that Roxy was playing with last night had ended up in my room. I picked it up but realized that the toy was still wet with Roxy's saliva.

My body went stiff "Did the box person come in to the house and steal her," I say terrified.
