You were walking along the beach side when you caught glimpse of the moon. You turned to face it watching the stars around shine as bright as they could in that very moment. It was then that you found a body shadowing yours. You shuffled in the sand b enrage you an asked.
"Who ps there?" No one responded.
"Look if your some pervert I'll kill you." You said annoyed at the person who was interrupting your peaceful date with the sound of the ocean waves.
"I'm no perv." He said. "Just curious."
You let out a shirt and cold laugh. "Yeah well, curiosity killed the cat, so."
You never took your eyes off the sky while you spoke, but did close them every once in a while, taking a deep breath and listening to the calm waves rushing up and down the shore.
"So if your no pervert then who are you?" You mused. Taking slight interest as to why someone else other than yourself was out on the bank alone.
"I could ask you the same thing."
"I'm not suppose to give that information to strangers."
"Fine. My name is Illumi."
You stayed quite for a while, thinking the boy was going to continue, but he never did.
"Illumi? That it?"
"That's it." He said.
"Don't you have a last name?"
"Curiosity killed the cat, remember." You smiled as you knew you walked right into that.
"Okay, fine. My name is Y/n L/n."
"Guess where not strangers any more, Huh?"Illumi smiled.
"Yep, were besties now. Why don't you sit down and we can gossip." You jokingly spoke.
However, Illumi sat down. Right next to you.
"H-hey I was just kidding. You don't have to-"
"Oh, but I do."
"Why?" You sighed out.
"To ask you the reason your out here. On such a beautiful night. Alone."
"I like being alone."
"And why is that?"
"Sometimes it best to leave things hidden."
Illumi chuckled slightly. "Okay then."
After that, it became as quite a mice house.
"It's getting later, don't you have to go home?" You ok'ing towards him for the first time.
"Don't you?" It was then that you caught sight of his long black hair, sad black eyes. He looked like you. Lonely and scared.
"Illumi?" You called.
"Yes, Y/n?"
"Do you ever wish you could fall into you shadow and disappear with the rest of the world?"
Another short and cold chuckle escaped his lips. "That would be nice."
"Yeah."

That night replays in your mind, it's inescapable, coming for you, dream after dream. Not letting you sleep, it hurts. It does and knowing there is nothing you are able to do about it, really sucks.
Something as complicated as hate and love. Something as distant as life and death. It's eats you up, from the inside out. Giving you no time at all to scream or shout.
The world you live in is not real at all, because if it is it will be your down fall.
Tears flow like rivers down your cheek, replying that night. Not caring for sleep. It's stuck in your mind and it won't leave. It's stuck in your mind, forever letting you keep. It haunts and deceives, so people believe.
The restless eyes on your face, say somethings more than words can express. It wants to caress, smooth, and adjust. But the feeling inside, could alway care less.
Time to face this thing on your own, because Illumi was just your illuminated soul.
