I walk to the opposite end of the clearing in front of where Jogo was standing. His face bore a look of immense concentration as he looked in my direction, not really noticing me. The look in his eye was so unusual it sent a ghostly shiver down my spine. But I shake it off: just because he's a little more serious than usual doesn't mean I should get all worked up over it.

"Well? Wanna go first?" I couldn't endure the silence anymore. He looks at my face for a second before bending his knees and launching himself up, disappearing almost in an instant. Damn.

A ready myself as well, not only observing the sky but my surroundings as well.

He would've landed earlier if he wanted to attack me from above. Or maybe..

I look above me once again just in time to see his figure hurling himself at me. Quickly, I leap towards him just as fast, choosing to fight fire with fire and manipulating some particles around me with a pint of cursed energy in each, bringing them in a protecting bubble outlining my body except my foot, which I was going to strike with.

Everything seemed in slow motion all of a sudden. The stars above glinted lightly as Jogo brought back his fist, a ball of fire clutched in between his fingers. I let out a small tsk. He started off well, leaving long enough to make me confused then appearing out of nowhere again, but his move was so predictable.

Before his fist could reach me I swing out my foot abruptly, bringing his movements to a halt and sending him flying back into the woods. I linger for a second to give him some time to recover before teleporting a few feet away from where he landed.

"Y/N!" His face was scrunched together as he trudged towards me. Guilt gnawed at me as he fixed me with his eye but amusement took over just as quick.

"BAHAHA! Look at the state of you! And all it took was 1 kick? That's pretty sad-" I blurt out and Jogo, having enough of me, turned abd started to walk away.

"Didn't anyone tell you you were supposed to dodge, Y/N?" his annoyance makes me start laughing again, and with that, he leaves me by myself in the middle of the woods.
