Dread
That's the most you can manage to feel at the moment as you stare up at the caverns roof, having been laying on the floor afraid to move for quite a bit. As you dig your fingers into the ground of to the side, the dirt moving up with it you can't help but think.
This feels all to real to be a dream, doesn't it.
You exhaled a small breath, slowly dragging yourself up looking about your surroundings. Nobody appears to be around, neither does any sort of life. The walls are barren and jagged much akin to its roof and floor. Least the floor feels softer. There seems to be two exits from this room of sorts.
Finally having stood up, you pat yourself down to see if you at least have anything....which you don't. At least you still got your hoodie and sweatpants, though to be fair you did fall asleep in it. Least you think so.
You got no shoes.
Fuck.
You know what. Yeah, alright. You totally got this. Off in some unknown place, no clue how you got here, shoeless, not to mention you don't even have your glasses- but you still got this!...probably. You take a few shaky steps to the closer one only to stop completely once you enter its doorway.
Its a cliff. Of course it had to be a cliff. The scene before you reveals a few rocks jagging out of the side of the cliff giving way for a patio of some kind. The land bellow seems to be rather flat, surrounded by mountains piercing into its sky. You see a few distant lights bellow however, maybe there was people down there..?
How. How are you going to get down?
You treat lightly closer to the edge of the- FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK-
The rocks bellow you suddenly gave way, leaving you sliding down the slanted side of the mountain. Your life would flash before your eyes if you weren't to busy tumbling and panicking.
The last thing you saw was the sky as you hit the ground, blacking out for good.
-----------
You find yourself waking up again, staring at the same sky from before, albeit the moon much more visible now. Though...its odd. The moon seems much paler than you remember, no craters in sight on the old thing.
Where even are you?? You sit up, your hoodie wet from whatever puddle you have been laying in, looking up back at the cliff from which you fell. How...how did you survive that? You hold yourself together crossing your arms as you apprehensively stood up. Perhaps it wasn't the best to dwell on how...at least your alive by a huge stroke of luck.
Snap
You swerved around only you find yourself staring at...some....what is this? It froze mid-step as it stared at you with sunken eyes and a body more alike a bugs. It was small. Short. Ball in hand. It screamed as it ran off, dropping the ball behind. You stood there dumbfounded as it ran off.. they?? They ran off.
You stared off at the lights in the distance.
This is going to go horribly, isn't it?
(( Hello!! Thanks for stumbling on by. This is my first fic and may be a bit wobbly! This is all for fun so it might not be well polished starting out as a heads up. Have a good day nonetheless! ))
