Once Upon a Dream🍁

Prologue

The silence was too much for the fragile prince.

It felt like he had lost a sense and everything around him scared him.

Every little thing.

He felt like he was being watched by a thousand eyes and is followed by a hundred shadows which were as silent as the night that snatched his colorful world.
He wasn't wrong on that.
He was being watched by the shadows and will always be until the night bell rings, indicating that yet another day was over in that tenebrose land where the sun doesn't rise nor the moon glows.

He wanted to talk to himself but was scared of disturbing the silence maintained by the shadows watching his every move. So he had to wait till the bell.

The scarlet velvety curtain draped over the windows was now dusty, considering how long it had been since it was closed by him once and for all, not bearing to see the horrors outside.
Of children crying.
Mothers dying.

 It's almost been a century.

A century since he was imprisoned by the King of Foncé or the dark kingdom.
All the hope he once had, had vanished by now, replaced with vague memories of his once beautiful life.
He knew that the memories were slowly fading.
The prophecy about the Sun Prince saving him now sounded absurd to him.

A small yawn left his rosy lips and he got up from the scarlet couch, moving towards the blood-red bed before laying down to rest his eyes and his body.

Looks like it's one of those days the king had decided to starve him but not kill him.

Looks like he was going to be here for another century or two before the king realizes that he wasn't going to submit to his sick wishes and kills him.

He waited for a century already.
He can wait for some more.

Until then he can find solace in his dreams.

Dreams of a certain ravenette with eyes that hold deep secrets and a smile that reminded him of all the sweet things of this world.
