"I don't want to go." Wei Ying said to the man who sat on the chair beside him.
"He is your boyfriend deal with it." Tang san replied nonchalantly.
"I don't want to close with him, I am afraid." Wei Ying said again. He was sad to face his love. He is supposed to be meeting him under the willow tree under the moonlight.
It is their meeting spot every night and day near the river with the fireflies. Tonight is his meeting night with love but he isn't willing to go to him, he is sad.
"Wei Ying," said Tang San to him, "I understand your feelings."
"You don't understand anything Tang San." Wei Ying said annoyingly.
Wei Ying isn't willing to go to meet his love due to the later consequences. His attachment to his love could cause him pain, he doesn't want to give pain to him after.
It is the prophecy that is forbidding him to meet his love; the prophecy said that if he would meet the love of his life he will fade forever and never be able to rise from his ashes, he won't be able to born from his it as he is the Phoenix, who could bear from his ash.
If he dies his love will suffer from his death and don't want him to hurt and pain from his death, but Wei Ying on the other side Wei Ying wants to die because he isn't willing to live in this world by living the same monotonous life of a phoenix, he wants to make a change in his life by living like the common people of the city, he wants to die like them and never rise again.
"Wei Ying," Tang San called his name calmly, "he will get used to it after you die, he will move on with someone."
"But what about the vow he made during the lantern festival." Wei Ying asked Tang San as he was also present on that night during the festival.
"Admit it or not you also made a vow that evening under the floating lantern." Tang San said sternly.
