Mondstats Cinnamon Rolls: Date Day

"Venti, where are we going?" Aether laughed while being dragged along by his boyfriend. Venti shushed him and continued dragging him along.

It was Aether and Venti's anniversary, and Venti had decided to be cheesy and take Aether on an early morning date, to have breakfast. Because apparently breakfast is a "very romantic mealtime."

While Venti was dragging him along, Aether took the time to admire the forest around him, as they were in the Whispering Woods. The flowers, the bright green trees, the little pool.

wait.. little pool? there was only one that Aether knew of in the Whispering Woods. and it was near.. the rock where he first met Venti. "Venti... What is this?" Aether asked slowly, confused as to why Venti had taken him here.

"Hehe," Venti laughed. "Well, since this is the place we first met, thought it would be pretty sentimental, my love." Venti grabbed Aether's hand and kissed his knuckles. Aether scratched the back of his head with his other hand and blushed a bit.

"L-lets just eat ok?" Venti giggled and nodded, skipping over to the pre-placed (probably by Kaeya or something) blanket and sitting down, pulling out a picnic basket, from somewhere.

Out of the basket, Venti pulled a few Teyvat Fried Eggs and a Sweet Madame. "Awe Venti! How did you know the sweet madame was my favourite?" Venti stared at Aether, who was stuffing his mouth with the sweet fowl meal and sighed in disappointment. "Love, we've been together for five years.

"Mmm yeah, I guess so.." Aether said quietly, still devouring his Sweet Madame. Venti sighed and wrapped his arms around Aether's waist, "My love, are you ok?" Aether snapped his head up in surprise, "Oh, yeah! I'm fine." Venti exhaled in exasperation, "Aether, I know when something's bothering you," Aether groaned.

"Fine. While I was out on commissions, I saw a Cecilia flower... Just like Lumine wore.." Venti sighed, "My love, there are Cecila flowers everywhere... Why hasn't this triggered you before? Wait- that's insensitive. Never mind." Aether giggled, "Never mind, I have you. I'm fine."

"Wanna go find some Lamp Grass?"

"Yeah."

"Venti, what the hell, we already had a date today?" Aether grumbled, being flown up to the up to the hands of the Barbatos statue in Mondstat. "Awe, but love, that was breakfast. It's lunchtime now" Venti whined, like a weirdo.

"Why are we up here anyway? We could fall.." Aether protested. Venti laughed and pointed down to the crowd of people worshipping Barbatos. "We met, for the second time, there." Aether's eyes widened. He blushed a bit but looked away."

"Fine. what food did you get us this time?" Aether mumbled, his inner Paimon emerging from the depths. Venti chuckled, and again, grabbed a picnic basket from nowhere. He grabbed two Mondstat Hashbrowns out of the basket.

"Here you go, my love," Venti said, handing Aether a hashbrown. They devoured the hashbrowns while watching the citizens of Mondstat go about their daily lives.

Venti smiled. Aether was mumbling about being taken out on a date again, for the third time in a day. They walked down the aisle of the Cathedral, and everyone greeted Aether with smiles and waves. They walked up the stairs and sat on the little platform above the door to access the Holy Lyre der Himmel.

Aether realized why Venti chose this place. Going by all Venti's other reasons for the places he took Aether, he must have taken Aether here because this is where they met the third time.
