(a/n: welcome to my first story! I am beginning this with an oc, but if you want it switched to a y/n type beat, lemme know)

"Why do most angsty stories begin with a train scene?" Our main character, Sora Xi, thought as she gazed out of the window of the train, minutes before it's departure. She took another glance of the crowds of families gathered in the station, wishing their children goodbye for the school year. Mothers, fathers, and various younger siblings waving and shouting a final farewell to their loved ones and leaned her head back into the soft cushioning of the passenger car. She sighed and closed her eyes, beginning to think about what her new school would entail.

The Ravenwood Conservatory, a private institute in which most students are pursuing types of education that lead towards a career within the arts. The institute had two programs, divided, and referred to as the Night Class and the Day Class. Sora was placed into the Day Class, not that it mattered much to her where she'd ended up. She applied for the scholarship months ago, in hopes of getting her aunt Rana off her back and had completely forgot about it. It wasn't until her aunt shoved the letter into her hands and practically forced Sora to open the letter that she'd found out she was accepted into the Conservatory, and that she was being granted a full ride scholarship, due to the range and capabilities of her "talents". Ultimately, Sora made the decision to go, knowing she would not only learn many new things and gain connections, but to make her aunt feel accomplished with raising her, knowing she'd done a fine job with Sora.

Sora could never quite understand the depths of pain her aunt Rana felt when it came about her sister's death, Sora's mother. Both of Sora's parents died soon after Sora had turned 3, from the fatal crash. Sora's aunt Rana assumed responsibility for the girl since then, always doing her best for the girl, even if it wore Rana out. Even if Sora couldn't understand her aunt's pain, she understood the effort and love she put into raising Sora, and Sora very much loved and appreciated everything her aunt had done for her. When Sora read her acceptance letter, she knew this was not only for her; but for her aunt who'd given up much in raising Sora.

Sora was abruptly brought back into reality when she heard a knock.

"Um, hello, is anyone else sitting in here?" a male with piecing green eyes and shaggy brunette haired started. "And, if not, you mind if I stay? It's getting a little crowded, and this train isn't the biggest either." He chuckled, running a hand through his locks.

"That's fine. Make yourself comfortable. I'm Sora, Sora Xi." Sora introduced herself, turning towards him and standing up to greet him. "You are?", she continued, holding her hand out expectantly as she watched the male in front of her go into a slight daze.

This wasn't uncommon, Sora was a genuine rare beauty. Long wavy black hair that flowed just below her navel, piercing almond shaped eyes, golden brown in colour and has been often compared to as the 'brightest pools of honey' some have seen. Her button nose and lusciously plump heart shaped lips complimented the sharply soft features of her face. One way to describe her simply, was ethereal. Her gentle, good natured personality bolstered her beauty.

"Oh, sorry." The male slightly blushed and met his right hand with Sora's grasped it in a firm, yet gentle manner. "The name is Elliot, Elliot Black!" The jade eyed male sheepishly grinned and sat on the seat opposite to where Sora had initially been sitting. "You know, you're really beautiful, I have to say!"

Sora sat down in her spot and laughed gently, "Why thank you, Elliot, you're not so bad yourself."

"Psh! Don't lie, you know I am hot girl!" he replied, with a wink.

The two teenagers were suddenly pulled from conversation as they took notice of the train beginning it's departure from the station.

Elliot suddenly let out an immense groan of what sounded like disappointment, and embarrassment. "Arghh, my brother is so lame." He let out, rolling his and placing his hand against the window of the car.
