Jason Todd sighed as he stared up at the night sky from the apartment window.

With the Gotham sky so filled with smog, only the silvery light of the full moon could shine through. But, hey, that was normal for all who were born and bred in this sest-pool of a city. And what the city lacked in stars, it made up for it with the lights of the cars zooming down the road and the skyscrapers that shined with people still working and the occasional billboard. It was just as beautiful as it was ugly, this city of lies and deceit. For as the cars zoomed by with their bright colors and happy people, the sounds they made covered the sounds of gun shots and screams. Those who worked in their comfy offices with their bright lights and happy billboards turned blind eyes to the street drugs that were developed, the money that would go missing for no good reason, the lives ruined by the shady business the companies conduct.

Rumors travel across Gotham's dark underside of a humanoid bat demon that hunts down criminals in the shadows they once used safely. Some stories say its eyes glowed with dark intent and had no pupils. They say it flies though the night sky, using the spirits of its victims to know what happens throughout the city. They say it is too late to run once you catch sight of it. Both villains and victims tremble in fear at the thought have running into this demon of the night.

But, this night the Batman will not be alone in hunting down crime. Soon the people of Gotham will be wondering if their night will be interrupted by a completely different creature of flight.

Originally, Jason was going to take up the mantel of Red Hood as a way to get back at the Joker and to screw with Bruce and force him to kill Joker like he should have all those years ago... However, his plans had to be changed. In all honesty, the former Robin had no idea how things had come to this.

"Jason?" A young, male voice, accented in a way you could just tell English wasn't their first language and probably wasn't learned until recently, spoke up from behind the brooding teen.

Jason looked down to see bright (dull, too dull), blue (red from too many tears) eyes looking up at him in confusion.

"Are you going now?" the boy continued to ask.

Jason let out another sigh, something he seemed to be doing too much of lately. "Yeah kid. We should be safe enough here that I can get to tracking down the man who killed your parents. And I know you're gonna want to come with but I need someone I trust to stay here and watch the little ones until I can get back. Can I count on you to do that, Dickie?"

The boy nodded before moving to a place where he could watch the two lumps on their make-shift bed.

And, without any other interruptions, sixteen-year-old Jason Todd took off into the night sky; leaving eight-year-old Dick Grayson to look after three-year-old Tim Drake and eighteen-month-old Damian Wayne/Al Gaul.

How the Hell did this become his life?

Hey everyone!

First off, I have no idea what I'm doing on any of my stories. Each chapter will come at it's own pace but other than that I have no future plans.

Anyway, this is a new story I'm thinking of writing up. What do you think? Is it something I should continue?

FYI: I don't own Batman or any DC characters. Anyone who says otherwise is lieing.

Til next time my darling pups.
