I heard the king's footsteps moving around the room but couldn't see him, then abruptly one by one the candles lit up the room giving it a warm glow. With the light, I could see that the room was different than all the others in the castle. " Look around this room belongs to you now," Said Pride. My eyes stopped wandering the room and met the kings. " Why?" The king gave a laugh, " Why, you ask, young prince this was your father and I's secret place to go when we had something to discuss that we didn't want anyone else to know about. This very room is where we came up with our strategy against the vampires during the war," My eyes widened in awe. " That is no the reason why I brought you here, the other you'll soon find out," Pride turned around to the bookshelf he carefully started pulling all the books off on the second shelf and set them on the large table in the middle of the room. Once the books were gone he moved his hand to the top left corner of it, pushed with his pointer finger and thumb. A faint click went around the room, the panel opened which revealed a sword. With a smile, the king carefully grabbed it with both hands, the panel closing once it was removed. Pride now faced me. " This is what I wanted to show you," " Get down on one knee Issac," The king commanded. I did as I was told, dust covered my pants. Pride removed the sheath from the blade and walked up to me. " I the king, dub you Issac Alpin the heir to the Cresent thrown a knight of the royal guard of the Dragon Demons. I give you the title of Sir Issac the ghost knight, you may rise," The King said placing the flat part of the blade carefully on each shoulder before he told me to stand. Shocked that I was just dubbed a knight. " Your highness, may I ask why you gave me the title of ghost knight?" Pride laughs, " Why, because of your white fur of course, "" Oh," Was all I could say. The kings got a sense of humor. " Issac, here I want you to have this, it was your father's," The king handed me the sword. The blade was a pale silver color that shined in the light, the handle fits nicely in my hand along the blade was a wolf with a sapphire eye. " This blade is special not just because it was your father's, it gets its silver color from the iron that can only be found in vampire blood," " It's made out of the blood of vampires?" I asked. The King nodded. " Yes, it's the only blade that won't break under an attack from a vampire, it's the only one of its kind," " I'll protect it with my life," I state. " I've only known a true Cresent to be able to wield the blade properly. It's because a witch put a powerful spell on the blade, anyone who tries to use it that doesn't have Cresent blood in them will die," I put the sword back in its sheath at my waist. " You're a spitting image of your father, even more so with his blade at your side," The King said sadness in his voice. He clears his throat before speaking again. " We should go, you need armor, and to prepare I can sense the vampires are near," I give the King a nod before I follow behind him closing the door to what seemed almost another lost world of the past. I grip the hilt of the blade swearing to my late father that I will end this war that he started and avenge him, my mother, and siblings.
