but the thing is one attack may or may not have struck me right into the right part of my stomach and now i'm in pain and it's taking a very long time to heal.

now running at this speed was a big struggle but the fact that he's catching up to me right now is extremely terrifying.

so you know what i did?

i dived into the lake.

now i'm underwater with an injury.

so now i'm drowning.

i tried to swim but my legs weren't cooperating with me so i sank deeper and deeper before a hand gripped my arm dragging me up to the surface.

before i could see who it was i went unconscious.

i felt my body going limp before darkness covered my vision.

i woke up to the sound of clothes rustling and rummaging.

i lifted my upper body up so i would be sitting up straight.

i looked around only to see a small shack and a person with short hair with a noh mask dangling loosely from their neck.

they turned around to me seeming to be alarmed by my presence.

reasonable considering that i don't look exactly human.

"uhh hi?" i spoke up unsure of my words.

the person flinched but then hesitantly replied back.

"well i'm Tengami Y/n. how about you?"

"i-i'm Watari Rekki."

"uh Watari-san do you know where i am?"

"yes you are currently near a village which is quite isolated."

"oh ok."

"uhm Tengami-san?"

"may i ask how you ended up in the water?"

"oh that. so as you can see i'm not the most normal with the horns and everything but that's cause i'm a demon. basically my kind are human eating monsters with a couple exceptions including me. that dude was chasing me because i'm a demon and all that jazz."

"o-oh. m-may i ask where these demons are now?" he asked now slightly alarmed by my presence now more than before.

"their pretty much everywhere. they die in the sun or if you crush their head."

the plain looking man paled slightly as the statement but nodded.

"i have a question Watari-san."

"why did you save me even if i don't even look very human?"

"i-i don't know. something was just telling me to pull you up and bring you back."

i stayed silent for a couple minutes before thanking him and telling him you're going to the roof.

i jumped up to the roof looking around just in case i saw a demon.

my (e/c) orbs were staring directly into the forest before i closed them and flopped onto the slightly creaky roof accidentally hitting my head leading to me bleeding before everything went dark.
