ELEVEN POV
It was a day like any other. But at the same time it was completely different. Finally, after waiting twelve whole months I got to reunite with my boyfriend Mike. Every year we would meet up on my birthday and spend the entire day together.
Joyce wasn't too keen on not seeing me during my birthday but she tried her best to understand. After all I had lost Hopper, Mike and all my friends. So every year as the time drew near and the coat of snow disappeared I was so happy.
I had a bright smile on my face and a faint twinkle in my eyes. I would finally see Mike again! It was about ten days until. I had to pack and make sure I look perfect.
It had been about three years since I moved away. This was the fourth time of our tradition of meeting on our birthday. It felt like it had been thousands of years but it was worth it.
I smiled sweetly looking in the mirror. Joyce was going to drive me to the mall so I could buy a new outfit to wear. After all, this was our day I needed to look perfect. It will be in my memory forever!
MIKE POV
Eleven would be coming soon. I was eager and so was everyone. Hell even Lucas was excited to see her. Lucas didn't hate her but he wasn't ever enthusiastic about her presence.
I would sit in my fort in the basement thinking about when I'd see her next. I couldn't help but be lost in thought. It was so exciting. I really did love being around her so it was important that I made it the best night of the year.
I was smiling at even the thought of seeing her. I was ready to finally after so long see her again. If only she could just come back here.
