Chapter 8 Drunk Confessions

Amaterasu

Checking myself once again in the mirror I walked out of my room towards the ballroom I held my dress up slightly today's the day mom and dad finally talked it out deciding to settle down with each other.

I took one of the drinks in my hand taking a sip from it keeping an eye on Nora who was with the other exceeds "so Asu-chan I heard you're in love" Akira says appearing beside me "which deluded idiot told you that?" I ask looking around "Akira leave her alone" Tsukimi says walking over to us "and his name is Hikari Dragneel" she added ignoring my earlier question "eh? who told you that?!" I ask my face heating up "oh so you're confirming that it is someone from fairy tail" Akira's lips curved into one of her teasing smirks Tsukimi choked on her drink "what? you're in love with Fiore's most eligible bachelor Hikari Dragneel?!" Tsukimi asks leaning closer towards me.

"How absurd Hikari Dragneel?" Tsukimi fished out a magazine as I sipped on my drink opening to a certain page I almost did a double-take "when did this happen?!" I suddenly noticed something taking the magazine out of her hands "what's wrong?" Akira asks as I opened a certain page.

The tips of my ear felt hot "is Amaterasu Dreyar dating Hikari Dragneel?!" we scream "seriously where the heck does Jason come up with these ridiculous things?" Tsukimi asks "well that would explain his strange behaviour" I say noticing mom standing in front of me with dad "some people wanted to talk to you Asu" dad said as I tilted my head in confusion.

Erza Scarlet bowed in front of me "I'm sorry for the way I treated you I had no idea" she says "you may hit me if you would like" I just stared at her blinking "yeah we also want to apologise" the rest of team Natsu say "I did give you guys advice but you chose not to take it" I shrugged my shoulders.

They stared at me hopefully "does that mean you forgive us?" Lucy asks hopefully "now why would I do that Mrs Heartfilia? after you oh so kindly tagged me as a criminal" she looked down in shame "but we apologised" I smirked "oh is that so? weren't you the one who suggested to hand me to the council? did it finally get through your thick head that I myself am apart of the council and I was just doing my job?" I crossed my arms "the one person whom I have forgiven is my father because unlike you he didn't bring his pride between our relationship and possibly Natsu-san" dad gave me a sharp look as I blew a raspberry "I'm not forgiving 'em" I turned my face away with a 'hmph'.

I reached for another glass of wine on the table "I think you've had enough" someone took the glass out of my hands "hey give it back" I turned on my heels to face "Sanada? you moron why'd you do that?" I ask slapping that idiot "do I look like that buffoon to you?" an irritated Gajeel Redfox asks "Gajeel-kun!" I flung myself at the iron dragon slayer who seemed embarrassed "get some fresh air women" Gajeel-kun pushed me towards the stairs.

On my way to the balcony I gulped down the contents of the wine bottle.

I opened the doors to the balcony to get some fresh air since I might've drunk too much alcohol but to my surprise someone else was also there "Hikari".

Hikari

I turned my head when someone called me "Mitsu-Amaterasu?" I say surprised "are you ok?" she looked different her hair had lightly more loose strands poking out her normally pale cheeks were flushed and her dress skidded down a bit "you're staring at me again" Amaterasu poked my cheek "uh... um..." I flushed trying not to look down "aw! you're blushing!" she pulled my cheeks clearly Amaterasu was drunk "here" I wrapped the jacket that I had taken off earlier around her shoulders.

"let's get you to your room" I turned her around walking towards the doors leading inside the castle finding an empty wine bottle that she most likely placed on the table beside the door.

I was guiding Amaterasu to her bed she suddenly stopped turning to me "Hikari would you kiss me?" I sputtered at her sudden question "what?" I say "I've always wanted to kiss you but I couldn't since it would've been terrible of me to confess then break your heart because of my mission" Amaterasu leaned up wrapping her arms around my neck brushing her lips over mines placing my hands on her back I pulled her closer my lips over hers.

Gulping I walked towards the open field "good luck" Sean wished before leaving me to my doom "uh... um... Amaterasu" I called cursing myself for stuttering she turned to look at me after last night we both hadn't said anything in the morning "what?" Amaterasu crossed her arms staring at me expectantly you can do this Hikari I took a deep breath in releasing shortly after "about what you told me l-" "ah just forget that ever happened I was tipsy so I just blabbered anything we don't have-" "no! I-I want to do this! I-I know why you refuse to take it further but I want to be in a relationship with you and no one else because I'm madly in love with you Yuri Amaterasu Dreyar!" I screamed her seafoam eyes widened along with the other knights present one was even fuming.

"would you mind repeating yourself?" she asks "I'm so deep in love with you I don't know what to do" I repeat "oh" she scratched her cheek "I love you too Hikari" she flashed a cheeky grin "uh...um... can I kiss you Ms Dreyar?" Amaterasu's face instantly flushes a deep red "eh?!" she coughs "I-I mean if you must" Amaterasu composes herself she's so cute! I cupped her cheeks as she flinched leaning closer "wait! no not right now!" she pushes me away embarrassed kawaii! grabbing her face with both hands I pulled her face closer to close the gap between us she'll most likely still be embarrassed about this later.
