The Beginning

Big News

Kelsey's POV
"I'm gonna miss you kels." she hugs me.
"I'm gonna miss you too Lesley."
Lesley has been my best friend since I can remember and yesterday my dad dropped the big news that we're moving to Miami. Can you believe it? I'm kind of excited though, I get to start a new life and leaving boring old Iowa.
"Promise you'll visit me though?" I beg her.
"If I can, you know we're not all rich like you." She teases.
Lesley has rich grandparents but her parents aren't, they've always struggled with money because her moms rich parents don't like how Lesley had to ruin their daughters life.
On the other hand, my grandparents love me. We're actually moving to Miami because of them, and my mom of course.
"Oh whatever."
"It sucks how you had to move right when summer was about to begin."
"Yeah I know, but don't worry I'll FaceTime, and text and call you everyday." I laugh.
"Okay, we'll take care I love you and I'll miss you so much." She gives me one last hug.
I hug her back "I love you too."
I slip my last notebook from my locker into my bag.
"I'm so not going to miss this school." I whisper.
I get into my Range Rover and drive off. As I pull up to the driveway and see an unfamiliar car parked in my spot. Confused I get off and walk into the house.
"Dad?!"
"In the kitchen!"
"Hey who's car is that outside? It's in my spot."
"It's your sisters."
I choke on my gum "WHAT?!"
She has made the decision to come with us.
"Great what about Zack?"
"He said he's going to stay."
"Oh." Is all I can say.
Zack and Chelsey are both my siblings, we're triplets but Chelsey had been off at some rich academy she'd begged dad to let her go. We've never really had a bond, she's the complete opposite of me. She's the cheerleader high maintenance kind if you know what I mean. On the other hand, Zack is like my other half we use to do everything together until dad agreed to buy him an apartment for him and his girlfriend. Since then we haven't talked.

"Hello??"
"What's up?"
"Zack are you sure you're not coming?"
"Damn it Kelsey I'm sure, go off and make some new friends don't worry about me."
"Fine" I hang up.

It's 9:00 p.m. Now and we're waiting for our flight.
"So tell me do you have a boyfriend yet?"
"Can you please stop asking me questions chels?"
"I just want to know what my little sisters been up to this past year."
"Little? We're the same age remember? or did you forget?"
"I'm a second older actually."
"Does it matter?" I snap.
"Girls" dad warns us.
"So what made you really want to come with dad and I?"
"Um maybe because we're moving to a mansion in freaking Miami!"
"Whatever chels"
"Flight 109 departing" the loudspeaker announces.
"That's us girls"
Wow let's see what Miami brings me.
