Chapter 2

~Carter's PoV~
It was like those kids had never been here.

After they left Lacy and Drew went back to hating each other, and whenever we asked a question about the kids they just ignored it.

Also Malcolm hadn't come back to school, and it was the last day.

After the final bell rang I saw Drew and Lacy walk off together, smiling and laughing.

I grabbed Sadie, Zia, and Walt and pointed them out.

"We should follow them!" Sadie said

"Just don't blow our cover this time!" Zia said

Sadie nodded and watched them as they started to walk towards Manhattan.

Even though Amos had told us never to go there, we all followed Sadie as she ran after them.

They walked for hours! The Drew I knew didn't have the endurance to walk a mile, let alone the distance we were walking.

They finally stopped walking when we reached an island covered in trees.

"This isn't on any map of New York I've ever seen." My brother said

The woods went on forever. The girls walked up and just disappeared.

We all ran up and ran to the woods and walked forward, suddenly the entire landscape changed.

We gasped. Right next to us was a giant dragon!

We were about to draw our staffs, but someone shouted "No!"

A girl with stringy brown hair walked up to us.

Carter's eyes widened, she was carrying a spear.

"I don't know who you are, what you are, or what you're doing here, but if you hurt Peleus so help me Zeus I will not be held responsible for my actions!" The girl said, brandishing her spear.

Someone ran up the hill. "Clarisse!" he yelled "I heard you yelling, who are these people?"

"I don't know Will" she growled "I was just about to find out when you barged up here!"

He looked at her and yelled "Meeting in five! Head counselors at the Big House in five!"

I looked around and saw below us was what looked like a camp. There were twelve cabins in a U shape and hundreds of other cabins surrounding them.

There was a lake and a climbing wall, I could've sworn it was covered in lava.

Sadie and I shared a look. This camp was more than it appeared to be.
