Still in love with him

New girl?

As I arrived back home I was feeling broken.I hadn't felt like this in such a long time I felt sick to my stomach. I saw Joe and he was with some other girl.It's weird to feel mad to see him with someone else.I mean it's over a year ago.

I have to call Nick he probably knew already.

"Hi Demi!" Nick says.

"Hi umm I saw Joe!" I say and I hear Nick turning of music.

"You did?"He says.

"Yes he didn't look sick at all!" I say.

"I haven't seen him in a while.I mean he called to say the project was on but that's all."He says his voice is calm and steady.

"Can you come over?" I say.

"Sure I"ll be there in 15 minutes!" He says.

"Thank you!" I say.

"Bye" he says and we hang up.

I'm just working on songs with my laptop when the doorbell rings.Is it 15 minutes already? I look down at my phone and see that the 15 minutes aren't over.I stand up and walk to the front door.

I open up the door to see...Joe?What is he doing here?

"What are you doing here?"I say a little to harsh.

"| wanted to talk to you!Have you got time?"' He says and I look down.

"I don't know.What do you want to talk about?"I say and than I see Nick.

Thank god Nick is here.He can help me out I don't want to talk to Joe.At the same time I do want to talk to Joe.

"Can I come in?"He says with that sparkle in his eyes.

That sparkle he only has when he has something important or exciting to say.That sparkle he has when he cares about something or someone. That sparkle I have always loved. That sparkle that makes me weak and makes me give in.

"Sure!"I say and Nick walks over to us.

"Joe?"He says clearly looking suprised.

"Hi Nick"He says as if it's the most normal thing.

"You haven't been visiting in like forever!"Nick says.

"Guys?"' I say and they both look at me the way only brothers can.

"What?"Nick says softly.

"Maybe we should take this conversation inside"I say and they both smile.

"So Joe you tell me what the hell you want!"I say and Nick walks through the house.

"I'm here to explain!"He says.

"I already told you I don't need one."I say and he touches my hand.

"But I need to tell you!"He says.

"Okay!" I say and he stares me right in the eyes.

"I'm sorry I haven't spoken to you in such a long time.And I'm sorry for the way I ended things! That girl is just a friend!" He says.

"What makes you think I care about your friend!" I say and I see his eyes change.

"Do you think we can ever be friends again?" He asks and I start to smile.

"Maybe!" I say.

"I mean we have to make this project work! And I can't do it without you" He says.

It sounded a little to romantic so I just raised my eyebrows.

"I mean without you as a friend. If we can't talk how are we going to sing?" He asks and he had a point.

"Yes your right. Just let me text you to see when we can really talk!" I say and he starts to smile.

His eyes went from almost tears to a happy state. I don't know if I'm going to regret this later. But I can at least try.

"My number is still the same. Wait I"ll write it down." He says.

"You don't have to!"I say and he looks at me.

"So!" I say.

"So" he says.

"Demi your tea is ready!" Nick yells.

"I qeuss I"ll see you around" Joe says as he leaves and I nodd.

I walk into the kitchen and see Nick looking through my fridge.

"So you found something to eat?" I say anf he turns around with some food.

"Yes!" He says.

I grabb my tea and walk towards the couch.We sit down and watch tv for a while.

"Are you okay?" He says.

"Yes why wouldn't I be" I say and he stares at me.

"Well you called when you were stressed!"He says.

"Well it was just weird! Seeing Joe and the girl." I say.

"Leven?" He says.

"What?" I say.

"That's his friend.She is really nice."He says.

'She didn't look that nice to me." I say and he smiles.

"It's late!" Nick says and we both stand up.

Nick puts his hands on my waist and kisses my cheeck.That's just the way he leaves.It's nothing romantic just his way of saying goodbye.

"Goodnight!" He says.

"Goodnight" I say.
