"Mama! Kamusta na?" Red spoked as she entered their house. Her mother looked at her in suprise and immediately runs to her and embrace Red in a tight hug, "Oh my god, my baby's here! I'm fine anak, ikaw ba? How are you? You didn't call para ipaalam na uuwi ka pala, your kuya could've pick you up. And it's been a while since you come and visited me." Her mother yaps still hugging, and Red chuckled at her mother's gesture. Gosh, yapper parin talaga si Mama.
After her mother ask her those things, Red kept her face blank, then she sighs. Am I fine? She asks herself, but she kept that thought to herself because she don't know how to answer that, or she doesn't know how to explain her mother what is going on with her life.
But in order to not make her Mama worry, she simple answered, "Sorry ma, it's just that I've been busy these past few days. But don't worry, you know I can handle it. Ako ba pa, I've been through a lot remember? And besides you and Papa raised a fighter, and not a quitter. So please naman, magtiwala ka sakin." Her mother just rolled her eyes to Red. Her mother knew better than to ask more question where Red has gone to.
They were just admiring the newly renovated interior of their living room when a man walked inside the house and cleared his throat, "Ehem, look who's here?" Her Papa spoke, loud enough that made Red startle. Uh oh, Papa is here. How will I explain to Papa what happened, Red suddenly got chills at that thought.
Red was about to explain where she has been but her father spoke first, "Where's my hug, princess?" Hearing what her Papa just said, naka-hinga siya ng maluwag. "Papa! I missed you!" Red exclaimed with joy and run towards her father and gave him a tight hug.
Red stayed at their house for the past few weeks, because she thought she could hide forever. And that's her mistake. Because little did she know those hunters will never stop on hunting their prey. And the prey is her. She knew someday those hunters will find her, but she didn't expect that it's today. The hunters finally found out that she is hiding at one of her father's house. And that day her father went to his work, and the only person staying in the house that night were her, her Mama, and her kuya.
It was already past midnight, but Red still can't sleep, so she decided to annoy her kuya just to pass time. The two siblings were currently at the mini-bar in her kuya's office, just chilling and talking about some stuff, when they heard footsteps, just right outside their house. The two looked at each other, and they already knew what to do. Her kuya opened the hidden cabinet right beside where he was standing, at si Red naman ay kinapa ang handgun sa ilalim ng sofa na kinauupuan niya.
Bago sila umalis sa office ng kuya niya, ay pinindot nito ang emergency lockdown ng bahay nila. Red scoffs, tignan natin kung may makalabas pang buhay sa kanila. Dali-daling lumabas ang dalawa, at nagpasyang pumunta sa kwarto ng kanila ina para ito'y gisingin, ngunit hindi pa sila nakaka-kalahati sa pasilyo na kanilang tinatahak, nagpa-ulan na ng bala ang mga armadong lalaki na nakapasok sa kanilang sala.
"Tangina naman." sambit ng kanyang kuya, kaya ito napalingon.
"So, what's the plan big bro?" Red ask, waiting for her brother's command.
Her kuya smirks at her and said, "Change of plans." Napa-tawa si Red dahil dun.
"So just like the old time huh?" she said, and her brother nodded.
"Yeah, lil sis. JUST LIKE THE FVCKING OLD TIMES."
After that small talk, the two went to different directions. They already know what to do. It's always like this, after what happened to Red years ago, they started training. The purpose of the training is to protect each other and to never let what happened years ago happen again. And they hope that the skills that they learned was enough to protect them.
Red stealthily jump from the 2nd floor to the living room. Sinalubong siya ng limang armadong lalaki, and she easily dodge all the attacks. "Well are you guys done playing?" Red said in a mocking tone. "Ang yabang mo!" sigaw ng isa at inatake nito ulit si Red, pero tumawa lang si Red at madaling napatumba ito. "Well, if that's what you want, then LET'S FVCKING PLAY." Red spoke, she didn't even used her gun. But now those armed men were lying on the floor, with broken limbs, and bruised faces. Pinagmasdan lamang ni Red ang itsura ng mga ito at tumawa muli, "Pfft, amateurs."
She then went to the kitchen and was about to knock out the man infront of her when her kuya throw a knife onto the man's back. "Damn, that's smooth." her kuya cheered praising himself.
While Red scowled and spoke "I thought you dislike knives?" Her kuya rolled his eyes and proceeds on stabbing the man on his right who was about to attack him, "Well, as you can see nasa kitchen ako and tong bwisit na to, naagaw ang baril ko. So I decided to freaking use my environment duh?" sagot naman nito.
Napa-iling nalang si Red dahil andami na namang nasabi ng kuya niya. She was about to ask her kuya kung na-comfirm ba nito kung ilan ang nakapasok sa bahay nila ng maka-rinig sila ng kalabog mula sa 2nd floor, at nasundan ng isang malakas na sigaw. Cold sweats run down from her cheek, Red and her brother went still, realizing who screamed. They ran as fast as they could, hoping that their mother was okay. When they reached the said bedroom and saw their own mother... Bathing on her own blood...
Red's mind was in total chaos, she attacked the armed men and kill them right at the moment, her eyes filled with hatred, and when she was about to kill the last person standing she changes her mind and she spared one of them. "Kuya, take care of him. I'm going to check Mama's condition." Red didn't wait for her brother's answer. Red immediately approached her mother, who was lying on the floor. She held her mother and hugged her, she can't explain what she was feeling at that moment, but one thing's for sure. She felt pain, rage, and resentment.
Her kuya were asking the man about any informations regarding the sudden attack in their house.
But the man only answered, "They've found you. The Devin family are all in danger."
Hearing what that man said, Red was consume by the flames of her anger. I can finally use this gun tonight. Her eyes filled with tears as he approach the man that was held down by his older brother.
Right at that moment before Red shot the man in the head he spoke...
Mission number 2403, successfully finished. Officer number 159 signing off. I am glad that I'm a part of this organization.
Then a loud sound of gun echoed inside the house.
After 3 years they've found out who planned all of this and Red said, I don't care whether you RUN or HIDE. Just wait for me, and when the right time comes, you'll pay for what you did to my family.
