chapter 1 moving, again

Hi, my name is Brooklyn but everyone calls me Brooke. I'm 15 years old and I have two sisters, Jessica (who's older) and Ashley (who's younger). It's us, our parents and our beloved dog Lucky. I'm so thankful that I have my sisters because they are my best friends, why you may ask well one we move so much that I can never make good friends because I can't stay and two my parents work so much, which is why we move a lot, that my sisters and I spend so much time together. Jess is 19 and Ash is 10. My mom is 48 and my dad is 49. Currently we live in Texas.

Today after school I came home with my sisters and Jess drove. But surprisingly when we got home our parents weren't at work they were sitting in the kitchen waiting for us, I knew exactly what this meant. They were only like this when they had to tell us we were moving again. I looked at my sisters and they knew too. The only problem was Jess finally got a serious boyfriend and I knew it would be over between them in about 30 minutes. I was going to be ok because I knew not to get attached to anyone because we have been moving since I can remember and we only live in each house for about a year before we move again. And my little sister Ash was making some friends but I think she will be making new friends when we get to the new place. After they "broke" the news to us we all went up to our rooms and started packing for North Carolina, which we left for in 2 weeks.

*skips to last day of school in Texas*

I told all the people I'm "friends" with in school that I'm moving and said goodbye and threw all my school papers in the trash. As I was going to get my little sister from her class I saw her crying a hugging all her friends and I really hoped this would be our last move so she would never have to do this again. Then she saw me and we left to go find Jess (aka our ride home) but she was busy kissing and hugging her boyfriend/ex-boyfriend Michael goodbye, after about 10 minutes we finally left and they were both crying but not me, I honestly just wanted to have another fresh start and hopefully my last fresh start.
