Me and Peter switched shifts during the night so we could each get some sleep. In the morning I was first up, I looked at Peter and he looked peace full. I got up and looked outside it was sunny. I really had to go to the bathroom and I usually went outside because there was no restroom here and I've checked a million times. I made my way outside and began to do my business when Peter burst through the back door with our stuff. I zipped up and turned to him "What's wrong" I asked "There here" Peter said and handed me my backpack. "Ok" I said "Let's go" I jumped over the fence and Peter did the same. "Where should we go" I asked him "Well we're going to have to leave the city" he said "Why" I asked "Because it's over run with monsters and it looks like everyone evacuated" he said I nodded. He pointed at the forest that was to the side of us "This way" he said walking towards the forest. I followed him into it, my stomach started to grumble. I got my backpack and pulled out some Oreos I found in the grocery store when I went back to check what had happened. I opened them and looked at Peter he was still walking "Peter" I said and he turned I showed him the Oreos "Do you want one" I said offering him one. He nodded and I gave him two and I grabbed two and I placed it back in my backpack. He was eating when I spotted a deer. I grabbed him by the shoulders and pointed at the deer. I looked at it in awe it was the only thing that looked happy right now. The deer ran off and me and Peter kept on walking. "We're you popular in high school" I asked Peter "No I was the nerd of the school with my friend Ned" he said "Who's Ned" I asked "He was my best friend before all this started I haven't seen him since" he said looking down sadly. "Well I wasn't anything at school I don't have any friends I had my dad but that was different" I said he looked up "You have a friend now" he said now looking at me "You too" I said. After a while of walking I spotted a pond and me and Peter decided to take a break because we didn't know where we were actually going. It was really chilly and I was freezing I made a bed out of leaves and laid down Peter made a leaf bed next to mine and also laid next to me. "You really didn't have any friends" he asked "Oh shut it" I said "Look I was shy and lonely if you wanted to put a title on me it would be loser" I said turning around. "Well because I'm the only person here I declare you not a loser" Peter said I chuckled "Are you gonna take the first shift" I asked him "Yeah" he said "Ok" I said as I drifted to sleep.
