The dazzling sun rays were touching her skin joyfully while admiring the landscaped garden with a fountain full of wishes and hopes that have been stucked. She just could not stop thinking about what might happen the next day. Maybe, she was just afraid to accept that things will never be like yesterday again.
The hospital garden feels good yet suffocating. She really hates hospitals because of some reasons and if it really was not for her dad she would not go there like what she did. Heck, she would rather be sick than being there for days, weeks or even months, that would surely make her sick even more.
She laughed at her own thoughts.
"What are you laughing at?"
Someone in a hospital gown suddenly appeared in her view and blocked the sun. A tall man with a pitch black long hair that almost covered his almond-shaped, hazel brown and twinkling eyes that catches her attention. He was wearing a playful smile and a carefree grin that made her more annoyed.
"Javris."
He offered his hand and just to make him get lost, she grabbed it, without knowing that she also grabbed her own sweetest downfall.
"Javris, can you please move? You're blocking my view."
He chuckled, "You're mean."
She looked at him with forehead furrowed, "You're annoying."
"Tell me your name." He said with his playful smile that really irritates her. She just rolled her eyes and ignored him. How could he be this playful in his hospital gown? Was it just her or he was just hiding it behind those playful smile of him?
"Selene, time to go again." The nurse that her father assigned to guide her said and that made her stand up.
She was about to walk towards where the nurse is but Javris said something that made her stop, "So, you're Selene. A moon. Nice name."
Selene, the goddess of the Moon, the daughter of the Titans Hyperion and Theia and sister of the sun god Helios and Eos, goddess of the dawn.
It was given by her late mother because it was full moon when she gave birth on her. She died because of a heart attack.
She can still remember every details clearly, how her mother died because of her, because of that argument they had. That was the day she regretted the most. Because of her selfishness, she lost someone that she treasure the most.
Everything was like a nightmare. She told her mother that she was tired of doing the things that she don't actually like, the things that doesn't really excite her. She told her that since she already finished her Senior High School, she would stop her schooling, she didn't let her but she keep on insisting and that was when she lost her, that was when her world fell apart. It was like a poison in her heart and that still hurts. She was so scared at that time, she could not move as if she was being paralyzed. She could not speak as if she suddenly become mute. She could not do anything, it was like the world turned upside down and suddenly stopped for her. It was like a sharp knife entered her whole body when they said that she was gone, she will never come back.
