Memories

"Students! I am pleased to announce a brand new motive, please proceed to the gym!"

(Chapter 6 spoiler alert!)

"Just a motive from Monokuma, that explains a lot.." Shuichi thought. Upon waking up, Shuichi had memories he didn't know exist, those being memories before the killing game. He knew everything was fake, that it was all fiction. If he were to be honest with you, he was even more scared than he was before.

Shuichi heard a knock on his door, opening it he found a certain Supreme Leader at his door.

"Shuichi! I don't want to go to the gym alone, escort me!" The leader whined.

Without saying anything, Shuichi took Kokichi to the gym, pointing out the differences between him and the version of him he knew before the killing game.

Monokuma explained his motive, one of the currently alive participants got back their memories from before the killing game and if there was no murder, he'd force the person who got their memories to reveal the horrific truth about the killing game.

As Shuichi expected, everyone was suspecting Kokichi of being the one who got back their memories.

"Kokichi.. Meet me in the library later." Shuichi whispered into his ear before running off, something Kokichi thought odd of him.

Shuichi was silently mentally preparing himself in the library, he could trust Kokichi with the truth. If he tried telling the others, they'd disregard it as a lie.

"Trust.." Shuichi thought, even he was surprised at the thought of him trusting Kokichi.

"Hey Shumai, you wanted me?" A very familiar voice called out to him. Kokichi was there, an almost concerned look on his face. Shuichi couldn't tell what he was feeling but he shook it off.

"Kokichi, I have something I need to tell you, but please, promise me you'll keep it private." Shuichi asked, and Kokichi agreed. He cared about Shuichi, but he wouldn't tell him that.

Shuichi began explaining everything to him, the fact they were willing to be in the killing game, the fact it was all fake and everything else. What Kokichi was the most shocked about was the fact they were friends before the killing game but had forgotten about their friendship.

"Hey, don't worry, I understand everything!" Kokichi told him, a smile on his face.

Shuichi hugged Kokichi, no second thoughts about it. Kokichi smiled, already knowing Shuichi wanted to be friends with him again. Kokichi gave Shuichi a quick headpat, and then proceeded to hug him.
