Chapter 12: something unexpected

Jason pov

Diana and I went through the zeta tube to the hall of justice cracking up, our dull ended up in a draw but she almost had me.

We stopped laughing when we got in the hall and seeing everyone with serious expressions on their faces, I was going to ask what had happen but then Percy came to the main room, he seemed to have been drained of energy for some reason.

Annabeth came to him and asked "still nothing?" He shook his head and took a sit, then I noticed he was wearing something that looked like Atlantean Armor but more elegant if that's even possible.

Diana then asked "what had happen?" It was Aquaman who said "black manta attacked Atlantis," ok nothing new there. I thought to myself ,until he added "...and he had special help."

The way he said it made me tense up and i had to ask "what kind of 'special' help?" Percy sighed in sadness and said "there was a demigod with him... A son of Poseidon like myself."

Dina and I were shocked and Diana asked "what's his name?" Percy sighed again and said "Peter Johnson."

I was shocked, I mean if it wasn't in this situation I would probably laugh my ass off due to the irony of it all, but all I could do was stand there with a gaping mouth.

Diana on the other hand was not that in the loop and didn't really understood why we were all in big shock over this, but then she asked "so where is he now?"

Percy looked at her and said "in the special interrogation room batman had set up for him, so far he gave close to zero information on him."

Then green lantern interfered and said "luckily for us I had a hunch about this guy, he felt like he was former military so I managed to pull his records and I was right, this guy is former navy did two tours in Afghanistan, got dishonourably discharged about three years ago over an incident involving his C.O and that's where our information on the guy stops and we draw blank."

"What about next of kin?" I asked, batman then said "non as far as we could tell... He had a mother but she died three years ago and no other family members."

Percy just hung his head lower and i said "well is you want maybe Diana and I will take a crack at it?" Percy just nodded and we went to the interrogation room.

Third person pov

Some undisclosed location

He was sitting in a dark room, he had chains around his hands, after she freed him he thought it was his chance for revenge against the dark knight, but he was wrong.

He didn't knew a thing of his liberator, except they when he got out of his cell every guard was covered in stone, or at least that's what he thought... And when she came close he could hear multiple hissing sounds coming from her hooded head.

Now he hears someone approach the room and soon after the door is opened, she comes inside and with her two men, one he recognize as black manta and the other is someone else... He did not recognized him.

He gave her a look and asked "what is it you want from me this time."

Hissing again and then she spoke in her heavily accented voice "we are going to take a little trip." She bobbed her head forward and the other man walked up to him pulling out a set of keys out of his pocket.

After he got up they gave him his equipment back, he looked at it with distrust in his eyes. "What is this?" He asked "first you free me then lock me up in here only to free me and give me my equipment back?"

The strange woman stepped forward and said "I do apologize for that, we had to run some test to make sure you are... Compatible to what we have instore for you..."

"...and what pray tell might that be?" He asked, although she didn't removed her fabric cover he could feel she was grinning under that.

She turned on her heels and said "come with me and find out." And she stepped out of the room, he soon followed her and they walked around the windowless hallway and soon enough they stood Infront of a big steel door.

Black manta opened it and they both stepped in leaving black manta behind, at first he noticed they were in some kind of cave, but as they waled deeper and deeper into the cavern he noticed the floor was wet by the sound of wet gravel being smashed under their shoes.

Soon they came to what seemed to be the edge of an underground lake, but he noticed there was something different about it, there was a bronze bell contraption on the beach.

The woman soon walked to it and rang it three times and walked back.

At first he thought she was crazy but then he noticed the water ripple and after a few scends a massive shadow of a boat came to view, he then noticed that the boat was made entirely out of human bones and the helmsman was wearing a dark robe but his hand were made of skeleton.

He looked at the woman in shock as she pulled out two golden coins when the helmsman reached his hand for them as if asking for payment.

After they got on the boat and started to sale away he noticed that the lake changed into a river and the scene behind them became a lot more different.

He looked at the woman as she said "David Clinton... Welcome to hades." She said gesturing to the entire place.

He was shocked beyond words, even after he heard of the wonder woman he never really believed her clams of being a demigoddess daughter of Zeus were nothing more then a ruse, but now he wasn't sure.

After they had sailed for a few minutes the woman made the helmsman stop and got off to a trail and he sayled away from there.

She lead them to a place and he could see the black river waters carried so many things in them, then the woman told him to jump in, his first instinct was to say "hell no."

So what she did? Just grabbed him by the right arm and threw in the river whilst not letting to of said arm.
