I knew when she was asleep or not. We had gone on countless sleepovers when we were young.
But we stopped as we grew older. Suddenly just going on a sleepover with a boy-best friend was weird. And some people started getting the wrong idea. They thought we were sleeping together, so since it made Y/n uncomfortable, so we stopped. It wasn't a big deal for her.
But I felt different, I used to have so much fun. Running around the house, we used to be overflowing with so much energy. It used to be so much fun, eating until we were full. We were best friends, no one had ever gotten in between us. We would go to bed at midnight. Or until one of our moms had to yell at us to go to bed. We would make jokes play truth or dare the usual. But I never had as fun at a sleepover with anyone else. I could tell she was tired but, she was so close to me. A few inches away from my face. I leaned down getting, closer to her, and kissed her forehead. I could have sworn she had opened her eyes but she still didn't move. After a while, my arm fell asleep so I had to move her head a little bit. After an hour later my arm couldn't move so I put her head on the bench and put my jacket on her to keep her warm.
I felt bad leaving her there so I decided to instead I needed to put her on my back. I carried her all the way to my hotel room and put her on the bed. I decided to get food so I had to admit....I kinda left her there.
