You did your homework today, so that you could go to your hometown on Sunday. You had a close relationship with your mom, so you visited her pretty often. You and Sasha have been trying to be there for her since your dad left. He was an amazing dad so him finding another women and making a new family with another not only broke all three of you, but also was a huge shock. Undeniably, your mom suffered the most.
After you finished studying, you had a lot of free time so you started reading a book. You've been wanting to leave to the world of fantasies for a while now. Everyone said that this book was good so you had high expectations.
After a while you felt hungry. You looked at the clock to check out the time. It was 10:48 pm. You felt a wave of shock go through your body. You looked out and noticed that it was indeed dark. You grabbed you phone and saw three new messages.
One was from Hange, she texted you two hours ago. Two were recent, from Armin.

You put an oversized jacket on and went to see Armin. Not even in 5mins after you arrived and saw him sitting on the chair in front of the market. You went up to him. He held his head in his hands.
"hey" you said and he looked at you. You immediately noticed his red puffy eyes.
"why did you come?"
what is he saying. you looked at him, confused.
"because you asked me to?"
He shook his head and patted seat beside him. You sat down and he laid back on the chair. You, being socially awkward person you are, asked him "are you gonna tell me what happened or do I just hug you now?" Silence was too loud.
Couple of minutes went by. It was cold out. All the time you were with him, you looked at the moon. You turned your head and saw him looking at the moon as well. The light fell on his skin as if the moon was made for him alone.
He noticed you staring. Armin didn't move his head, he only moved his eyes down to glance at you. Your breathing hitched. He softened his face and put his head on your lap. You knew he liked skinship so you didn't say anything, letting him lay his head there, brushing his hair with your fingers.
Half an hour went by. You still sat there with Armin, although he relaxed now and talked to you here and there.
You invited him to sleep over, because you were getting cold. When you arrived back in your dorm, you made hot chocolate for both of you and turned TV on. You took out a soft blanket and covered your figures with it.
He looked at the TV show with bored, uninterested eyes. You sighed and turned it off.
"tell me, what's on your mind"
Armin went silent again.
"talk to me"
Armin held onto your waist, finally gave in and started talking. You listened to every word he had to say.
"When I was in the second year of high school, my mom was diagnosed with Fatal Familial Insomnia. That means that she wasn't able to sleep anymore." He looked at you with a sad smile. "I watched her life drain out of her, y/n. I couldn't stop but think -is that what dying person looks like?- She died soon and me and my father felt so... wrecked..." You felt so bad for him. You never knew he literally watched his mom die... "Then he started drinking and I tried to stop him..." He sighed. "He had depression for over two years... He really loved her." he said and his tears started to fall. "These things kept me mentally unstabled, I only talked to Eren and Mikasa... Until I met one girl, Ally- she was with me through everything and helped me get back on my feet." His breathing quickened as if he was having a panic attack. "Two months ago, I found out that she cheated on me. She started the rumors as if I was the one who cheated and that I used to beat her up, because I wasn't mentally fine." he sighed "There's nothing I hate more than lies. "
"oh my god" You were crying silently at this point.
"We broke up. It was so hard for me to look at them being happy as I was so broken... Earlier today, I found out that they are engaged." Your eyes widened. You wanted to tell a couple of pretty words to this shit Ally, whoever that girl was. You hugged Armin and didn't let go until you heard his heartbeat go back to it's normal rhythm. He was hugging you back like his life depended on it.
You both sobbed for a little while. You cuddled him, saying stuff like 'i'm sorry' 'she doesn't deserve you' 'you deserve to be happy' or 'let everything out'. Basically, you tried your hardest to comfort him.
Tired with overwhelming emotions, both of you fell asleep. You felt really bad for him, but he, on the other hand was quite relieved to let it all out of his system. He was glad you were the one who listened. Armin was thankful that you were there for him. He liked that you were his strength right now.
