I got out of bed and started to get ready. I was going to the school, that wasn't far from me and the only school here. I was given a house by a family called the Sonozaki family, if I remember correctly. The head of that family was old and cranky I should say, but her daughter said that she had a good heart, which is hard for me to believe though.
I looked in the mirror and started to fix my braid. I had light blue hair and blue eyes. I then wore my sailor fuku which was green with a blue tie, and my plaid skirt. I looked at the mirror once more and then exited my house. I have to admit, even though I disliked this place already because it's not my home, but it did have a new view of the trees and the plants. It was green enough for me, better than I was used to.

I followed kids that looked like they were going the same way as me. I finally reached the school and opened the first door. Once I did, there was a woman who looked like she was in her mid 20's smiled and motioned me to come to the front of the class. I listened to her and went by her side. There weren't a lot of students in the class now that I thought about it. There was only about 20 or so kids. Usually there would be like 30 and I would feel sorry for the teacher. There were mostly little kids in the class, ages between six to twelve. There were a couple of older kids in the back. They were the same age as me though.

" Everyone this is Momoka Kimura! Please welcome her!"
" Yes!" The class responded. For a small class, they sure were good and polite to other people. Though, this one girl was looking at me funny and didn't respond to the teacher. She had short black hair and green eyes. She looked around fifteen. I had a feeling that she was gonna be trouble. The teacher then pointed to a seat in the back next to a girl that had light red hair and blue eyes. She wore a similar uniform to me.

" Go sit by Ryuugu." I nodded and quickly went to my seat. The girl looked gentle and kind. I thought she and I could be good friends. I also thought that I could be good friends with everyone here, but that girl that was looking at me made me feel a tad uncomfortable.

Once the bell rang, it was time for lunch. I then opened up my lunch box and sat a my seat eating quietly. I highly doubted anyone was gonna ask me if I wanted to eat with them. I was new and no body is nice to the new kid. Everyone already has their own groups and here I was, just entering the school in who knows what month this is. My memory was still a little foggy from when I was at the clinic. I shadow then came above me. I looked up to see Ryuugu or I think that was her name.

" Why are you sitting alone?" she asked.

" No else offered for me to sit with them," I explained. " After all, everyone here is mostly young."

" Well, how about you sit with my friends and I? I'm sure they would welcome you dearly."

Before I could respond, she grabbed my desk and pulled it over by her friends. There were only about three of them who weren't my age. Sighing, I followed her over to the table. They all welcome me with big smiles. One girl in particular was happy I was sitting with them, for she hugged me tightly.

" You're the new girl," she exclaimed. She had dark brown hair and big brown eyes. She had wore a white collar shirt with a dark blue bow at the hem along with teal suspenders. She looked around thirteen. A boy who was much older pulled her off of me, who I assumed was her older brother.

" Calm down Reika," he scolded. " You can't jump on people like that." He looked completely different from his younger sister, having black hair and bright blue eyes. He had looked around my age.

Reika pouted. " How do you except me to act Kouta? You know I am always like this when someone new in the village shows up."

" A better reason why they never come back," he muttered. He turned to me. " I'm sorry she's like this. You must have known she didn't mean any harm."

" Don't worry about it."

" You're Kimura right?" another boy asked. Almost like Reika, he had dark brown hair but violet eyes.

" I would like it if you called me by my first name. There's no need to be formal."

He chuckled. " Alright then, my name is Keiichi Maebara, but you can just call me Keiichi then."

" My name is Reika Hayashi!" she exclaimed. " And Kouta is my older brother."

" I think she knows that already," he muttered under his breath.

A girl with green hair laughed. " Since we're doing introductions here, my name is Mion Sonozaki and this is my twin sister, Shion." She pointed to the younger girls. " Then there's Sakoto Hojou and Rika Furude. I'm sure you already know Rena."

I nodded. It was a miracle that I could keep track of some many people. From the corner of my eye, I could see Reika watching me. It was like she was examining me every time I had done something. Kouta must have noticed how uncomfortable I was, because he lightly elbowed his sister.

Classes were over in the afternoon. Quickly, I packed my bag and tried to get out of there as fast as I could. Sadly, someone stopped me before I could get outside. " Where are you going?" Reika asked.

"Home. Isn't that where everyone else is going?"

" But you have to come to the club meeting. We have it every day after school."

" Well, not all the time," Kouta explained. " That's when our club leader isn't here, but since she is today we're doing the club."

Mion popped her head out of the room, smirking at me. " Would you care to join us Momoka?"

Honestly, it felt like I was being invited to my death. The way Mion spoke gave me goosebumps.

" Perhaps another time," I said. " I have a lot of things to do and I have an appointment with the doctor. I must prepare myself."

" I see," Reika muttered. She looked defeated.

" Promise us you would come tomorrow then," Kouta said. " Reika won't let you go off another day without joining us."

" Is Momoka joining us?" Satoko asked. She then laughed. " She would be beaten on her first try. Are you sure she can be part of the club?"

" Keiichi managed to beat us before," Rena told her.

" But that's Keiichi. He only did it once and we beaten him times before that."

I could hear Keiichi protesting as Satoko continued to laugh. Kouta chuckled as he shook his head. " Think about it. It would be nice to have another player that would fight instead of letting girls win. Keiichi is the only one who does that though."

" I do not Kouta! Do not put things in her head!"

" I will think about it," I said, ignoring Keiichi cries. " Perhaps when the time is right I would."

I walked out of the school building, into the heat. I did not know how they could live in this village when it was hot almost everyday. They had to be used to this in order to live their final days.
