joeys pov
i was sitting at a table, waiting for someone as they showed up with file papers and layed it in front of me.
"all the info, you need to know about matthew is in there." they said as i nodded. i slowly opened the file as i see pictures of him with y/n.
"as you know matthew killed someone before and most likely will do it again." they added as i looked up with worrniess. "who did he kill." i asked as i pulled out a paper with his mugshots and newspaper with a note attached to it.
"to y/n." i said as the note had a whole paragraph in what i assume is her writing. i read slowly. matthew, i always thought you were the one but what happened after yesterday, i don't know if i'll ever be able to face you agian. you killed him. you knew he meant something to me, i know you knew what he did to me in the past but he changed. i loved him. i know you were also trying to protect me but now i can't protect you anymore, you are dangerous matthew. i dated you for 5 years for fuck safe and i'm just noticing all the fights we would have now, it wasn't a good relationship. i trusted you and saved you from everything but this time i can't. i'm sorry matthew.
i put down the paper as i went through the files. "you see joey, matthew kill her father." they spoke as i looked at the paper, reading each word written. "her dad was abusive, when she was 7." they said agian. "he killed him, in their house."
"this is why they're not dating anymore." i said silently under my breath. i looked at my phone and see a call from sophia.
"yeah?" i said confused. "kaylas here." she simply spoke. i glanced at the picture of matthew and got up immediately. "thank you cameron but i need to go now." i rushed back home.
i couldn't believe what i just read, matthew killed her dad. i drove into my driveway seeing kaylas car parked on the side.
i see matthew, he was going to do it agian but i couldn't let him. "you had your time birlem." kayla said as i stood there looking at her, confused.
"we're going to kill y/n." she said as matthew walked out of the car. "you killed her dad." i yelled at him. "who told you that." he yelled back and he reached for his pocket.
"no one." i said back. "kill me not her." i didn't hesitate to say. they just laughed. "aw protecting that girlfriend of yours huh." she said with a laugh and a pissed off expression.
"you know last time i did that, she never talked to me." matthew finally spat. "maybe because you shot her dad." i stated back.
"shoot me." i said as matthew pushed me onto the floor and i felt a sharpness on my stomach, he kicked me. they ran into the house. i couldn't get up, they were going to kill her.
