pt. 4: Forever and always

𝙇𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙖'𝙨 𝙋𝙊𝙑

I can't believe that's what he thought. D- did he really think that little of himself? And I didn't notice? I really am the worse, how do I fix this? I don't know, I don't know what to say but apparently my body knows cause I've just enveloped Reki in a tight hug. Hoping that that shows him I'm not leaving. I never will. I love him, I love him so much and I need him, forever and always.

"I'm sorry, I'm so so so sorry Reki. I can't believe you felt that way and I didn't notice.
Please know that I will NEVER leave you, I'm only as good as I am because of you. You made me that special board. You taught me how to skate. And you became my best friend, my reason to skate is you Reki." I broke, I broke right then and there. I started to cry softly, still hugging the smaller red- headed boy I've grown to love and care for.

I heard gentle sniffles as Reki hugged me back and nuzzled into the crook of my neck.

What I said next sent a shock of anxiety through my body;  "please don't cry anymore, I- I hate to see the person I love in pain, especially when I'm the one who caused it."

Oh no- no no no I've just made everything worse, I got too ahead of myself. I didn't want to tell him. Damn it's too late to take it back now. He knew I didn't mean it in a friendship kind of way, that was very clear.

𝙏𝙝𝙞𝙧𝙙 𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙤𝙣 𝙋𝙊𝙑

Reki's previously closed eyes shot open in an instant, hearing what the taller Canadian said just moments before.

"W-wait... Did you say, love?" Reki said, shocked as he pulled away from Langa's tight, comforting arms.

Langa took a deep breath, he was ready for the worse.

"Yes, I'm sorry Reki, but I do love you. " He was avoiding the red- heads gaze, fearing if he looked at him that would be the last time he saw Reki's beautiful face. Thinking he'd be disgusted or angry.

Reki let out a nervous giggle before saying; "don't be sorry Langa, cause I- I love you too."

"Wait what, are you serious?" The icy-blue boy couldn't believe what he had just heard. Was this real? His best friend whom he had fallen for... Wasn't disgusted nor angry and better yet....Returned his feelings?

"Yes I do, I can't believe you like me back." He let out a sigh he had clearly been hold in for awhile as a small, gleeful grin appeared on his face.

Both boys we're having a rush of emotions running through them, happiness, relief, 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚. They surrounded each other in another compassionate hug.

"Hey, Reki? Can I kiss you?"
