Hurting

Armins POV

I watched as her light blonde hair shifted through the wind, kicking the soccer ball, dodging all the other people after her, she kicked the ball perfectly into the soccer net

Annie Leonhart is her name, she is the best player on the team, the Yeagerists.

I saw Sasha run up to Annie, gasping for air "how'd you run that fast" I think I heard her ask Annie. "I have my ways" she said back to her as she walked away. she used to cheer and laugh when she made a perfect goal, but now it just seems like she doesn't care, like she had lost her spark.

It was lunch time now, I went to look for an open table, but Annie once again caught my attention, she was sitting alone, so I decided to wrap up my wits and go talk to her.

"H-hey Annie, mind if I sit there?" shit, why did I stutter!

"Yeah, sure." Annie mumbled back to me, I Sat down across from her and ate my tuna sandwich in silence, that is until Annie looked up and gave me this creepy look.

"Why were you staring at me in practice?" Annie blankly said

"O-oh heh, I was just uhmm.. recording data to see how good you have gotten over the months!"

After all, I was the data recorder for the soccer team, I kept track of everyone's score

"Alright then.."

When the bell rang for us to get ready for break, I got up and threw away my trash, and headed for the door. I sat down on the bench and took out my notebook and started to study the scores for the girls soccer team.

I saw Bertolt walk up to Annie, and grabbed her wrist, I quickly got up and headed over to see the current situation.

"please leave me alone Bertolt, we aren't together anymore so please stop trying to control me!" I heard Annie say with a choked up voice, it sounded like she was about to burst into tears.

"I broke up with you, cause you kept dressing up like a slut, now that your not, be a good girl and let me have you again!" Bertolt quickly replied with a bit of anger in his voice.

"Please Bertolt, l-leave me alo- NO!!" Bertolt interrupted Annie and latched his lips with hers, that was the breaking point, she pushed him away and fell to the ground and started to sob. I quickly ran to where they were, and told Bertolt to back off

"Back off man, she clearly wants to be alone" I snapped at Bertolt, he looked at me with rage burning in his eyes.

"Oh yeah, or else what" he said stepping closer to me

"I'll tell the basketball coach that your being abusive towards a girl, and get you kicked off the team" I said with sass in my voice, knowing basketball is the most important thing to him.

"I- okay chill, I'll leave," he turned to and looked down at Annie, who was still broken down on the floor "This isn't over" he finally said as he left and went inside the building.

"Hey Annie, are you alright?" I worryingly said hugging her

"w-what does it look like" Annie said with sarcasm, she looked up at me, her eyes were red and puffy.

"here, let me take you to my room, and clear you up." I said slowly, making sure she would feel comfortable around me

"okay, just keep me away from him." She said with pain in her voice

"of course!" I cheerfully said

We headed up to the second floor, where the boys dorms are we headed to my dorm which was room number 069.

I opened the door and let her walk inside, "well it is surprisingly clean in here, for a boys dorm." she said looking around.

"heh yeah, I find it hard to move around in a dirty space, so I keep everything clean and organized." I replied getting a first aid kit, to patch up her knee, which she had scraped from collapsing on the floor.

(thirty minutes later)

"thank you, Armin" Annie said looking down at her wrapped up knee

"no problem, anything for a friend!" I said trying to help myself from blushing like a freak cause she said my name

"can I have your phone number, j-just incase I need your help again or something.." Annie said a little embarrassed for some reason

"oh yeah of course, here" I wrote down my phone number on a piece of paper

"thanks, I'll text you later" Annie said as she got up and headed for the door

"yeah, see you tomorrow" I said opening the door for her

She suddenly stopped and looked up at me, she stood on her tiptoes and kissed my cheek, and left. I was stunned, I watched her turn the corner, and went back in, locking the door.

"aye bro!" Eren came in throwing his keys on the table near the door

"ah ah, no put them on the key hook" I told him

"ugh fine, mom" he teased

"could you like, compare me to your dad, not your mom?" I said in an irritated voice, but that all went away when I heard my phone ring

###-###-#### has sent you a message

###-###-####: hey, this is Annie.

me: Oh hey, Annie!

I changed her name to Annie❤️

Annie❤️: I just wanted to apologize for kissing you on the cheek when I left, it was just a thank you for everything

me: oh you don't have to apologize, tbh I found it cute!

oh shit why the hell did I say that I'm so dumb!!

Annie❤️ : oh thank you

Armin: yeah, i have to go to bed, see you tomorrow!

Annie❤️ : of course, see ya!

after that I plugged in my phone and closed my eyes waiting for Eren to shut the hell up so I could sleep..
