[3] The Bigger Picture

As Jeonghan enters his apartment, he finds himself tripping over a pile of chewed slippers and shoes in front of the entryway.

"MINGYU! SABI KO WAG MONG PALABASIN NG KWARTO MO SI BOBPUL TUWING WALA AKO!", Jeonghan shouts, making the dog in his arms bark.

He quickly shushes the dog, not wanting his friend to immediately see it.

"Shhh! Mamaya ka na mag-ingay.", he whispers as he pats the dog to calm her.

Jeonghan quietly walks into the apartment, wanting to surprise Mingyu, but he finds himself getting disappointed as he sees that his friend wasn't there.

"Luh, tulog pa ba yun? Malapit nang mag tanghali ah.", Jeonghan mumbles to himself as he moves on to check his friend's room.

He quietly opens the door and silently cheers as he sees Mingyu's back facing him, his friend apparently in a call.

"Okay Kkuma, sosorpresahin natin si Mingyu ah.", Jeonghan whispers to the dog as he silently approaches his friend.

"Magandang umaga rin sayo Ji?......Ba't ang ingay ng background mo pala?"

Jeonghan slowly stops in his footsteps as he hears a name of one of their friends.

"Luh, inaway mo ba?.....Joke lang kase.....aso? Sorry Ji, di pa ako lumalabas ngayon eh, pero tawagan kita if ever may makita ako na fit.....sa...description mo....."

Mingyu trails off as he turns and sees Jeonghan holding an unfamiliar dog.

'Helloooo?! Hoy! Kim Mingyu?! Binaba mo ba yung telpono mo?! HOY MIGS!'

"Tawag nalang ulit ako sayo Ji, may aasikasuhin lang ako."

As Mingyu puts down the phone, Jeonghan finds himself laughing weakly, Mingyu then narrowing his eyes at the older.

"Saan mo nakuha yung aso?"

"Kay Jihoon yung aso?! Wait no....hindi siya mahilig, kay Bobpul nga inis na inis eh.", Jeonghan says quickly before Mingyu could speak.

"At Choi yung nakalagay sa last name ng aso........ano pangalan ulit ng roommate ni Jihoon?", Jeonghan smiles smugly as Mingyu rolls his eyes, knowing where the conversation was going.

"Choi Seungcheol and no, ako babalik ng aso sa kanila.", Mingyu says as he tries to get the dog from Jeonghan, but the older steps back.

"Luh, ano ba nanaman pinaplano mo?!"

A smirk forms on Jeonghan's face, "Syempre ibabalik.....at syempre, makakuha ng reward.", he says, his eyes sparkling.

Mingyu was taken aback by his friend's plan. "R-reward? Legit manggugulo ka ng taong di mo kilala para may makuha ka rin after getting his dog?"

"First of all, lumapit si Kkuma sa akin, and for all we know baka ayaw niya kay Choi. Second, naks naman di mag-aaccept ng reward. Third......destiny...", Jeonghan says, waving his hand in front of Mingyu.

Napataas ng kilay si Mingyu, "I'm sorry....destiny? Sa tingin mo ba magjojowa si Seungcheol ng nangingidnap ng aso?", he retorts.

Jeonghan rolls his eyes, "Masyado kang negative Migs, look at the bigger picture....magkakajowa na best friend mo at long last.", he says.

"......Yun lang? Magkakajowa ka lang? Ewan ko sa'yo!", Mingyu groans before cooing over Seungcheol's dog.

"Mamats sa support ah, tawagin mo na si Ji, sabihin mo na kuhanin ni mister Choi Seungcheol ang aso niya sa park sa baba.", Jeonghan says, waving his hand at Mingyu dismissively.

Mingyu scoffs, "Lakas ng loob mo ah, sige nga tignan natin kung magkakajowa ka.", he says.

"At least di ako duwag, tignan mo tuloy di mo pa maligaw si--"

"DI AKO DUWAG!!!"
