The night sky was painted a deep blue, as its tears decorated the earth. As the wind howls and the leaves ruffle, the old wooden door creaks as Jean and Mace enter. The bright lights coming from the cabin contrasts the dark night sky. As shivers run up her body, Jean grabs the blanket perched on the chair and hands it to her. As she makes her way towards the couch, her eyes land on Jean, a worried look present on her face, "Jean what's going on, is there something wrong?" "Did you say something sweetie? Oh no, no, you don't need to worry about anything." Jean averts his gaze, something was clearly up. "Jean, we're in this together, we're a team remember?" His body tightens up, his voice failing to come out "Do you still have the things we kept from the battlefield?" Mace gives him a sympathetic look, "Why didn't you ask me this earlier, I stored it in the attic upstairs."

Mace gets up as Jean follows in suit, "Let's see..." Mace mutters as she looks through stacks and stacks of dusty boxes. As she glances at Jean, an anxious look seems to be growing on his face "Looks like we lost it," mixed emotions were apparent on his face. Jean has always been a straightforward man, The man is like an open book, even back then during the army. "I'm just joking, it's in this box." Mace chuckles. Jean shuffles through the items inside "Found it!" he yells enthusiastically as he grabs an object from inside the box. "What is it?" Mace asks in a confused tone. "I never got the chance to give this to you, but it's a necklace. I made it using a tag and some bullets. When you open the locket, you can see our wedding day picture."

Mace was a little taken aback, she would have never expected something like this from him. He was never the romantic type. No words could come out of her mouth. With her small smile turning wider and wider and their bodies getting closer and closer. As their mouths get closer and closer, she embraces him. No words could describe the amount of emotions she was feeling right now. Their kiss deepens, blush growing apparent on their faces as each second passes. It was only about them, and them only.
