So, yeah. I had another dream about the snow leopard... and we hugged!
I slowly lift my body from my curled position, stretching out my limbs and hearing the crackle in relief. Opening my eyes, I raise my head to the midnight sky, watching the colors swirl about each other under the stars. I notice a shape among the lights, flying around the strips of color.
Her presence calls me to ascend into the sky, and I thrust my powerful wings to rise up. Closer, I recognize the beautiful snow leopard from before. She swivels her head to look at me, gives me a grin, and tucks her angelic feathered wings to her body, diving down to the waters below. Curious, I follow, folding my draconic wings and streamlining my body to keep up. As she approaches the ocean surface, she snaps her wings open, catching the air and sending her quickly across the sea. I follow suit, somehow keeping up with her speed.
She lifts her head, checking to see if I'm still behind her, and I give her a small wave. She smiles, waving back, before returning her attention to the tall pillars of rock ahead of us. We get closer, and I see swirls of glowing plant life wrapping around every little nook and cranny of the columns. The snow leopard flaps her feathered wings, gaining some altitude, and glides between the first two, then dips under a couple treelike plants making an arch between the next pair. I follow, and gasp at the sight.
Long glittering bluish vines hanging from the smooth, thin arches reaching overhead with little stony statues resting at each base. The rocky pillars surround the beautiful oasis covered in glowing biolife that shift between cool and warm colors.
The snow leopard descends to the lake, rippling the water and encouraging the fish to move and glitter, before lifting to a purple jeweled cave on the far side of the haven. She softly lands, padding a small distance away from the ledge. She turns, looking at me, still drifting in awe. I quickly follow her lead, trying to land as elegantly at I can in front of her, but I misjudged the smoothness of the stone and end up slipping. She reaches out with a forepaw, setting it on mine to help. I don't move. This is the first ever contact, and I can't look away from her light amethyst eyes. Letting out the quietest purr, she lifts her paw a little, tilting it to grab mine, and pulls me up on the ledge.
We sit in front of each other for a little while, before we notice how close we are. It seems she doesn't mind, as she pulls me into a warm embrace, wrapping her angelic wings around me. I hum, content, comfy.
Then I open my eyes to my bedroom once more.
