prologue 🥀

A WEEK BEFORE SCHOOL

Its been 2 years since everything has happened. Y/n hasn't opened the letter from Hanako since Yashiro gave it to her. A year before Yashiro died because of her short lifespan and no one has taken it well. Y/n was in her room sitting on her bed staring at the letter she hasn't opened at all. Kou has come and checked on her every 3 weeks to see if she was ok. She'd only give him a "I'm fine." or "I'm ok I guess."  Its the last week of summer vacation and Y/n was gonna be a junior this year. "2 more years of this shit and I'm done." She said to herself. Ever since she received the letter she's tried to not think of what Hanako could've told her. Finally after 20 minutes of debating she decided to open it. When she opened it she saw a dried up flower inside. "Should've told me about the flower Yashiro. Should've told me." She said as she unfolded the letter. 

Dear Y/n,

If you have received this letter from daikon then that means I'm gone. You might be wondering "what do you mean by 'gone'?" well the hanahaki got to me. I over heard you one day and you said you only liked me as a friend (friend-zoned - k ) and nothing more. I hope Yashiro and Kou take good care of you (good friends right? 😁🙏🏻)You were the person I liked when you asked me that one day. I was planning on asking you but a ghost and a human can't date...Anyways one last thing I would like to tell you before I go. 
I love you. 

Hanako.

By this point Y/n is in tears all over again. She never thought she'd lose both of her best friends in a year and its coming to 2 years this year. She put the letter back in the envelop and put it in a box so it wouldn't get ruined.

FIRST WEEK OF SCHOOL

Its the first day of school and Y/n decides to see Mr.Tsuchigomori before heading to find Hailey. When she arrived at his classroom he heard 4 people in the room. Y/n decided to enter and there stood Yashiro, Hanako, Hailey and some other guy she never saw before. 

"You..."

"Hey Y/n! I haven't seen you in-"

"NO STAY AWAY YOU ASSHOLES!"

"Y/n?"

"YOU BITCHES DIED 2 YEARS AGO AND COME BACK THINKING NOTHINGS CHANGED WHEN A SHIT TON HAS!"

"Y/n let us explain."

"NO! WHY WOULD I?!"

Suddenly the door closed behind her and everyone looked to see who it was and it was Kou.

"They were here..."

"APPARENTLY!"

"Y/n please-"

"NO I'M LEAVING TO CLASS!"

Y/n walked out wishing she never came in the first place. I mean who would expect to see their friends dead in front of them 2 years later?!  She went to class and pretended to be ok when she wasn't. Y/n asked to go to the bathroom and she ran into Hailey.

"Y/n! I've been trying to find you!"

"I'm not going back to them asses."

"I wasn't gonna push you to even do that. I wanted to come to your classes today because I'm off for a bit."

"It would be nice to have some company. Sure why not."

"Yay! Thank you so much!"

"Ok but first I really need to pee so-"

"Say no more lets go!"

~TIME SKIP!~

It was the end of the day and Hailey and Y/n spent a bit of time together. Before they knew Y/n had to go home.

"Today was fun. Thank you."

"Anything for a friend Y/n."

As the girls were saying their goodbyes the roof door opened and those same 2 familiar faces stood there.
