"Dad?" I asked after waking up from a long night of studying.
"Shhhh." I heard an unfamiliar voice reply.
I was a little freaked out but when I walked to the kitchen to grab breakfast before school, I saw someone who looked oddly familiar. It was my friend Hannah.
"Hannah?" I asked walking around the bar.
"Sofie!" She replied. It looked like she was crying.
"What's wrong?" I asked.
"It's your dad. Before you look I think you should know!" She said wiping tears from her face.
"What?" I asked worriedly.
"I came to pick you up like I always do, I unlocked your door and since I didn't eat breakfast I grabbed some cereal—" she said but I cut her off.
"Get to the point" I said a little triggered.
"Okay. He left a note saying he was leaving you to live with his new love." She said hugging me.
I pushed her off.
"He wouldn't do something like that!" I replied angrily.
"Read it!!!!!" She said handing me a note.
It was in his handwriting and his favorite piece of paper. I was crying. How could he do such a thing?!
I needed him. He was always so understanding, loving, and caring.
"Hannah let's just go to school" I said wiping the tears off my face to get ready.
"But what about your da—" Hannah replied but again I cut her off.
"LETS GO HANNAH" I snapped at her.
"Okay. I'll drive." Hannah said sounding like I hurt her.
"I'm sorry, Hannah, this is a lot to take in." I said to her hugging her.
"It's okay." She said hugging me back.
She's the kind of friend I needed. Loving, caring, and understanding. Just like my dad.
