[AUTHOR'S NOTE: I know this is a bit of an outdated story topic for some, but Deathwing/Neltharion is my favorite WOW character (I wished they hadn't killed him) and has such a deep background with such potential. A lot of the other FanFics about him being redeemed and turned back into the Earth-Warder are either too short, incomplete, are barely readable, don't do him justice, or have a somewhat boring storyline, no offense to anyone's creative work it's just my critique. I'm making this story because I want to try and remove all of those things in this FanFic and have the story play out how I want it. No promises I'm going to finish the writing of it all, but if I think I'll never go back to it then I'll post a sort of summary with the best bits of the story written like normal so the story can have a conclusion unlike some where I get tortured from the cliffhanger and it makes me temporarily depressed lol. Btw, there will be Alexstrasza and Neltharion romance. To be clear, the Aspects call each other siblings but they really are not, according to the lore. Only Ysera and Alexstrasza are "sisters" because they came from the same Titan or something like that. The romance between Nel and Alex is not twisted. Anyway, this is my first story on here/fanfiction, I hope you enjoy it! :)]

End it, yes, end it all with your Pain as your blade,

Strike them down and make them feel your Agony.

Your Hatred fuels the fire, end this now!

Forever scorch your name into the fate OF THIS PITIFUL WORLD!

END IT, END IT ALL FOR US, DESTROYER!

The whispers of the Old Gods coursed through Deathwing's head, their power surging through his veins. This was it; his purpose was so close to being filled. With this fatal blow he would extinguish the candle of hope for all who opposed him: the mere mortals who dare taint HIS planet, the inferior dragonflights that helped those same mortals, and most importantly, his fellow Aspects that stood in his way now. No longer would his enemies rise up, as this would be the final blow to their pointless campaign.

Deathwing looked around, taking in the glorious scenery. Kalecgos lay on the snow next to Wyrmrest Temple, too weak to stand; Ysera was fading away near him; Nozdormu was bleeding his golden blood onto the once white snows of Dragonblight a ways away from the others.

The Aspects, the supposed protectors of the planet, lay helpless before him. He also saw some mortals' corpses who had tried to aid in ending him along with dragons of various flights on the ground. He still felt a sense of something within those still alive on the battlefield... hope. Hope that Deathwing was still defeatable, that the Life-Binder could save them. Deathwing let himself chuckle as he looked down at said Life-Binder. She lay there, broken, below him atop Wyrmrest. At last, the final battle would be over as he struck down the Dragon Queen, showing that Death would rule over Life. He lifted one of his claws up into striking position as he took one final look at her. Blood poured out her chest from the numerous slashes along her ruby body. Yet, she wasn't screaming in pain from her wounds, nor was she filled with anger. She only stared into his fiery eyes with deep sorrow and regret. Deathwing was surprised to notice that the regret was not from her utter failure to save life on Azeroth. It was the regret of how she failed Neltharion. She thought of how she could have saved him before his corruption. If she had listened to his concerns or noticed his torture she could have stopped him from succumbing to the Old Gods, or so she thought.

Deathwing was angered by this. Even now, about to die, she defied the Aspect of Death the joy of making her truly fear him. Enraged, he grabbed her neck and put his face directly to hers.

"WHY DO YOU NOT FEAR ME LIFE-BINDER! I AM THE ASPECT OF DEATH, I INSPIRE FEAR INTO THOSE THEY NEVER KNEW THEY HAD WITH JUST A GLANCE, YET YOU RESIST, EVEN WITH YOUR FELLOW ASPECTS DYING BEFORE YOU? YOU WILL FE-" he bellowed out in rage, being interrupted by his soon-to-be victim.

"I do not fear you for I am to blame for all this. I was too blind and arrogant to stop you in the past, Deathwing. I failed. It was not the mortals who you hate, it was not the Burning Legion that threatened Azeroth, it was not even yourself, it was me. I did not try to stop you then. Instead, you spiraled into your insanity and turned into the Aspect of Death. Instead, countless have died to your hand Neltharion. Because of me. Neltharion, I accept if you kill me..." Alexstrasza whispered out, feeling her life slowly fading. Deathwing pulled his head away, letting go of her neck as he began to laugh. He felt his internal prisoner losing any strength he still had as he heard the remarks from Alexstrasza about Neltharion being capable of killing her.

"You fool. All this time you thought Neltharion was the one enacting such pain? Killing so many?" he started, laughing again. "It was never that weak WHELP that did this. It was I, Deathwing, who tore the world apart. Your beloved Earth-Warder is still within me, trapped inside his own head. He has seen all that I have done from killing his consorts to even what I do now. He weeps as he hears that you thought he could kill you. The irony. To think that he was trapped away inside me all this time, hoping for thousands of years for you, Alexstrasza, to realize I was separate from him. Waiting for you to try and save him," the Destroyer revealed, enjoying every word he spoke in his powerful voice. He looked back to Alexstrasza, seeing her in such pain and torment. He smirked menacingly at her suffering.

"At last I get my wish. To see you in such pain and agony that no physical pain could inflict! NOW PREPARE FOR YOUR END LIFE-BINDER!" He began to lift his claw up again, savoring the moment.

"I'm so sorry Neltharion! I thought you were evil, but I was wrong. Please forgive me... my dear Neltharion..." she whispered off, closing her tearful eyes as she prepared for a fatal swipe. She waited there for what felt like hours to her but the blow never came. She began to open her eyelids. Deathwing was frozen in place. His claws were still flexed in the air and his burning eyes still stared into hers, but he was still.

"This can't be possible..." Deathwing thought within his head as he felt Neltharion awakening. The Earth-Warder began to pull at the shackles that held him within his own mind. "YOU ARE NOTHING WHELP! I AM ALL THAT YOU ARE! OBEY YOUR MASTER!" Deathwing roared again in his head. Neltharion carried on, pulling even harder as he felt some of his binds starting to break.

Deathwing took control of Neltharion's body to finish his mission, putting his claw into motion. Alexstrasza screamed out and Deathwing felt bliss as the claw fell swiftly and was about to end the Life-Binder. Suddenly, as the claw began to tear at Alexstrasza's scales, Neltharion broke out of his chains and took control of his body with the newfound energy from his sister's remorseful words. He yanked back his limb with all his being and saw that Alexstrasza was alive from the slash. From that, Neltharion fell back from the top of Wyrmrest Temple, expecting death once he hit the distant ground. He expected his already loosened metal plates to break once he hit, causing him to expand quickly as he lost all life because of his own mutilated body.
