His Life

Chapter 1

Ezra's POV

I wake up when the sun comes through the window on my tower. The first thought that comes to my mind is, Hera's going to kill me. She told me not to leave the ghost after dark. I don't exactly know why. But that doesn't matter. The sun isn't all the way up yet, the crew is probably still asleep. I could probably sneak in and go wait in the common room.

I climb down from my tower and head through the fields of Lothal to the Ghost.

??? POV

Earlier this morning I was trying to steal a crate of fruit, when a pack of Stormtroopers started chasing me. I jumped up on top of a building with ease, after that I scaled all off the roof tops with out effort.

Ezra's POV

When I got back to the Ghost all the lights were out. I went straight to the common room when I sat down, all the lights came on. I thought to myself, Please don't be Hera, please don't be Hera.

Then a voice spoke, " Don't worry it's just me."

Good, just Kanan.

"What were you thinking, Hera specifically told you not to go out after dark."

"Yeah, but..." he cut me off.

"But, nothing. Ezra listen, what if you were hurt? What if something bad happened? You need to start listening to us."

"I'm sorry. I just needed to get out of this ship. It has been so long since I was in my tower. I wanted to go down there and check on everything."

"Fine. Wait, here comes Hera."

At that I disappeared into the vents. When I closed the vent shaft, the door opened and Hera walked in the door.

"Morning, Kanan."

"Morning"

"I am going to cook breakfast."

"Okay, when everyone wakes up I will send them in there to eat."

I knew exactly what Hera was doing. She will cook breakfast sometimes so I won't skip meals. I often skip meals when I am depressed, angry, or just don't want to eat. When I lived on the streets I skipped many meals, she doesn't understand that when I don't want to eat I don't have to eat. But when she cooks it smells really good, and the smell goes all the way through out the ship.

I hid in a vent shaft and lost the dumbtroopers. When I climbed out I found something behind a crate, it was small and had a tag on it that read:

Property of the Empire
Wrist worn electric slingshot

I put it on my wrist, but there was no string to pull, so I look at the instructions.

How to fire the slingshot
Place your fingers above it and pull at nothing
An energy ball will form and the slingshot will pull into place then you can aim and fire

I gave it a try and fired it at a wall. The wall lit up with electricity. It was definitely my best find yet.
