George flutters his eyes open and sees a green field full of flowers. He looks around and sees a green blob.

Clay.

Clay was Dream's real name. George never called him that, only to tease him he would, but for other reasons, he just wouldn't. He had no reasons.

For a few days, these were dreams George had: Clay holding his hand and skipping in the field with him.

That changed yesterday.

George walked up to the boy, hoping it would be a dream again, but it ended up being the same as yesterday.

"Hi Clay."

Clay reached for his hand, but instead of holding it gently, he ended up squeezing it hard enough for George to let out a yelp.

"What the fuck?!" George said, clasping onto his right hand now.

"You really think I'm friends with you?" The other boy said. George tried meeting his eyes with his own but ended up looking at the eyes of his mask he always had on his face. He always had the mask on, but George hoped that one day he could take it off. When he tried, his dreams turned into nightmares.

"What?" He says weakly.

"I'm not really friends with you, I just feel bad for you because you're so lonely."

Those words hit George like a boulder.

Before George met Dream, he had nothing to do with his life. He barely took care of his self, and just sat in bed all day. The only reason he got up was to eat, and he didn't even eat too much, maybe a piece of bread, that's all. That all changed when he met dream. Dream helped him with his mental health, eat more, and try to sleep more early since they would stream together yet had different time zones.

"You don't mean that, you're not even real.."

"Oh, but I am. Otherwise, you wouldn't feel anything if I did this."

"W-" But before George could speak, Dream put his mask up enough for George to see his lips and jawline. Dream then connected their lips, and he was right. He felt butterflies, and everything felt so real he didn't think he was dreaming.

"I only did that to prove to you that I am real, I don't love you. It's quite the opposite. I have you around my finger, and you don't even see it. You're so easy to be taken advantage of."

George woke up, and he put his hands under his eyes to wipe tears, but there were none. It wasn't a nightmare to cry about, but it hurt. He balled himself and thoughts of the words he had said.

I don't love you.

Your so easy to be taken advantage of.

I have you around my finger, and you don't even see it.

They kept repeating in his head and broke him even more. He checked the time,

1:39 PM.

He wasn't surprised by the time that he had woken up because of how late he stayed up yesterday. He opened his fridge, took out milk, 2 eggs, vanilla extract, and then went to the pantry to get the pancake mix and started baking. He put the liquid pancake batter into the pan, waited for a few minutes, and flipped it. He kept doing this until he made an amount he thought he would get filled by, but some butter and syrup on it, and ate while scrolling through notifications and Twitter.

He quickly read the texts Dream sent him a few hours ago and called him back.

"George are you okay?!" A worried boy said from the other line said.

"Yeah, I just woke up," George said, stuffing pancakes into his mouth.

"Are you eating?" Dream chuckled.

"Yeah, I'm hungry."

"What time is it for you?"

"1:49 PM."

"That's cool, did you get enough sleep last night, right?''

George was hesitant. He didn't want to lie to his best friend- no, his crush, his lover, but then he would worry too much about George. "yeah."

"Are you sure bb?" Dream teased but still said it in a tone that informed George that he was worried about him. He smiled, "Yeah."

"Okay princess" George's heart fluttered, and he bit his lips to escape the urge to whimper out in awe of what Clay had just called him. "Shut up, what did you want anyway when you called me?" George said, trying to change the topic. "Changing the topic because you're too flustered princess? Well anyways, I tried coding and I came up with something, so... I was wondering if you'd like to try it?" Dream barely coded, since George knew more about coding and came up with more efficient ideas. "Yeah for sure, what is it about?" George said excitedly, but also tired.

"It's where every time we get hurt or jump, the block we're looking at will change!" Dream said. George was impressed, Dream had never done coding this big, maybe as a joke. but he was impressed. "let's try it out, it seems pretty good!" George says. "Yeah, maybe you can help me fix errors as well because I have certain things I want to change, but I don't know how.." George smiled. "I knew there was no way you made such good coding without a mistake!" Dream wheezed in response.
