George woke up, he opened his phone to a billion messages from the dream smp members, he'd slept through another lore. It wasn't his fault, he couldn't help living where he lived. His sleepy face quickly changed to a cheeky smile as he noticed Dream had texted him. He pressed on their chat and read a good morning message, that he usually received from Dream.
He sleepily wiped his face and ran a hand through his hair, it was quite long now, not kept together like it had been before, he told his friends he didn't cut it because of the restrictions, although he knew that he could cut it if he wanted to, he just hadn't had motivation to leave his bed, let alone his house. His only motivation in the morning were his friends.
Minutes after replying to Dream, he'd received a notification from where his computer sat at his desk, indicating Dream had started a discord call.
Gogy groggily pulled himself from his warm comfy bed, plopping himself down at his gaming chair, he was wrapped in his blanket still, over his head. He pressed the accept button and yawned straight into the mic.
"Hey George!" Dream's voice beamed through his headphones.
"Morning," George mumbled, he felt defeated as usually talking to his friends would help, especially if it were Dream.
"What're you doing?" George fiddled with his wires, wondering how to reply as to not worry him.
"I've just done some... working out, and now I'm here!" George said, trying to hide the sarcasm that dripped from his words.
"oh sure, so if you put your camera on right now you'll be all sweaty?" Dream's voice wavered a little, unlike his confident self.
"Possibly. who says I'd put my camera on for you anyways? You usually screenshot it for twitter." he bit at a loose hangnail,
"Come on Georgie, that was only one- two, no three times! besides you looked.. cute in all of them," this comment caused George to blush slightly, which he pinched himself for, this was his best friend for gods sake, he shouldn't have these thoughts about his best friend! He doesn't have them for Sapnap, so why would he have them for Dream?
"Really?" His voice rose a little, not with anger but with intrigue.
"Maybe."
George sighed.
"Okay fine."
"Fine?" George questioned.
"i'll show you mine, if you show me yours." Dream said almost too fast for George to comprehend what he had just said.
"You'll show me your face?" George's smirk grew.
"I never said faces, George." this caused George to choke on the mouthful of water he was drinking,
"W-what!?" he spluttered into the mic.
"I'm kidding, okay fine, if you show me you right now, i'll show you me." Dream fiddled with his fingers on the other side of the call.
George looked down at himself, he was still wrapped up in a fluffy grey blanket and Dreams merch, one that dream had sent directly to him. It was something they did a while back, they wore their own merch for a week, then sent it off to each other.
Well, that was what George had done.
"Okay, you first though" George said, his mouse on the video button, he realised that Dream might be concerned at the dark circles under his eyes, but he decided he didn't care.
"Nope, you first, i need to get myself all pretty for you!" Dream giggled, then cleared his throat when he realised that he had giggled. Dream's long blonde hair was falling over his eyes, he quickly scanned himself through the reflection and then grinned.
"Okay, okay fine." George pressed on the video button, it wasn't as if Dream hadn't facetimed him before, it just made him nervous every time and Dream never showed his face.
George was greeted with his slightly red face on his screen, "okay, i look like sh*t i know, i woke up literally ten minutes ago."
Meanwhile on Dreams end, he was supporting his chin with his hand, staring in awe at the beautiful man on his screen.
"Dream?"
Dream was busy staring, and he didn't answer right away.
"Clay..?" George dared, feeling slightly weird calling Dream by his real name.
George nibbled at his thumbnail.
"George! stop that!" Dream pestered, knowing George wanted to stop biting his nails, as Quackity had told him that he could paint his nails better than George, and George wanted to prove him wrong.
"Sorry! your turn, or my camera turns off." he threatened, chuckling a little at his reaction.
"Okay, okay." Dream adjusted in his seat, "After years of friendship, are you ready to see the face to the handsome personality?"
"Oh very." George grinned, tapping his fingers together, he no longer felt unmotivated or tired like he had previously.
"Let's count down."
"Alright, but then no more messing around!" George blew a raspberry into the air, and together they counted...
"Three.."
"Two.."
"One..!"
Dreams camera popped on, George had thought, but actually it was shared screen. On Dreams screen was 'Never gonna give you up' playing as loud as he could.
George knew it was too good to be true, he covered his ears and laughed loudly.
"Dream!"
"George!"
