10. Why Would He Go On

"Sectumsempra!" Harry screamed. Voldemort's face started to bleed. "Avada Kedavra!" Voldemort yelled. Hermione ran out onto the grass, dodging Voldemort's poorly aimed curse. But Voldemort followed her. Harry stood in front of him and pointed his wand right at his chest. "You killed Dumbledore!" Harry yelled his throat burning from his volume. "So what if I did?" Smirked Voldemort in his sly voice. Harry was so mad he couldn't find the right words "YOU SON OF A-" Harry yelled getting cut off by a curse thrown by Voldemort. Hermione whipped around as she heard Harry's sentence get cut off."Avada Kedavra!" Voldemort yelled, pointing his wand at Harry. His aim was horrible, and he hit Ron. Ron fell to the ground... dead. "Ron!" Hermione yelled, starting to cry. Harry started crying, but stood his ground. Voldemort was over by the death eaters, congratulating himself. Harry pointed his wand at his own chest. "Avada-" He started to say, "Harry you can't!" Hermione screamed. "Killing yourself is useless!" She snatched the wand from Harry's hand. "Says who?" Screamed Harry, tears forming in his eyes, his throat burning from his volume "Says me!" Hermione pleaded "You can't kill yourself! Please!" "What will change if I don't?" Harry screamed "Dumbledore's dead, Ron, Percy, Fred, George, Bill, Charlie, all dead!" Screamed Harry as he saw where his wand was. He pushed Hermione and as she fell over he got his wand. "Imperio!" A voice yelled. Harry whipped around looking for where that spell was cast. He saw Ginny and her dad fighting off Dolohov, Harry sprinted over "Avada Kedavra!" Harry yelled, and Dolohov fell over, dead. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Dumbledore's body on the ground. He vowed to avenge him, even at the cost of his own life. He knew Hermione was behind him, and she looked like she could explode at any second. Harry saw Lilly and Sirius run towards them, wands out ready to curse. It was dark where they were, so nobody knew if they were a death eater or not. "Protego!" Hermione and Harry yelled, all at the same time. Lilly and Sirius took a few steps back as Harry and Hermione kept their wands high. "Look out!" Harry yelled whipping around to see Voldemort outside of their bubble. Lilly and Sirius were stone cold on their face. They were together, their wands side by side. They would live, or die together. Harry narrowed his eyes as he saw Voldemort edge closer, but then get thrown back when Harry yelled "Expellearmus!" His wand flew out of his hand, into their bubble. Hermione, keeping the bubble on, reached down and got Voldemort's wand. Voldemort got Gastraf to go and get his wand. But Hermione, having Harry's wands brother, flicked her own wand and the death eater flew away. Harry looked at her, he could never master the noverball spells, but Hermione could. Harry saw Demetors fly towards them "Expecto Patronum!" Harry yelled as a Stag appeared. But now the shield bubble popped, it was too much for Hermione to handle, especially under stress. Voldemort charged at Harry, but Harry, for once, did a noverball and made a shield bubble. But, it wasn't with his wand. It was with Voldemort's wand. "Avada kedavra!" Voldemort yelled in his hoarse voice. His red eyes blazed with anger, but he forgot that he didn't have a wand. He snatched a wand from a death eater and yelled "Avada kedavra" this time more clearly, with even more anger in his face. "Watch out!" Harry yelled to Hermione, as she narrowly dodged a killing curse. "Bombarda Maximus!" Hermione yelled for a counter attack. "Confringo! Furnunculus! Flipendo! Locomotor Mortis!" Hermione fired one after another at Voldemort as she merged into Harry's bubble. Lilly and Sirius made the bubble last while Harry and Hermione fired curses and jinxes. "Repello" Sirius yelled, as Harry and Hermione yelled. The strength of it made Voldemort fly back "Rictusempra" yelled Hermione when Voldemort was getting up. Voldemort burst out laughing "Bombarda" yelled June at Hermione. The force of it made Hermione fly back, her hair static, and her body feeling as though it had just exploded. "Incarcerous" June yelled again. Now Hermione was bound in tight ropes out of the shield bubble, unable to move. "Relashio!" Ginny yelled freeing Hermione. Hermione sprinted into the shield bubble, while Harry was now fighting the dementors while Ginny took over for Sirius who was holding the shield bubble up. "Avada kedavra!" Voldemort yelled, but it bounced off the shield bubble, Voldemort stared around for a moment, almost like he was content. Suddenly, he turned to Sirius. He started to walk towards Sirius, very slowly. Lilly watched in horror. She knew what Voldemort was capable of, and what Sirius was not. Voldemort pointed his wand at Sirius's neck, and Sirius started panting, almost scared. Hermione and Harry watched along with everybody else. "This man," Voldemort yelled, "Was thought to be my most loyal follower. Yet... He is nothing of the sort." He looked at Sirius scathingly, pushing harder on his neck every second. "But... Seeing as the circumstances are that disloyalty to your lord-" Voldemort said, but Lilly was now crying. "Sirius! He's not your lord! Do not do what he says!" She was being taken by a clan of death eaters, into the forest. "Kill her!" Voldemort screamed. The death eaters that were holding Lilly pointed their wands at her and all yelled, "Crucio!" Lilly screamed unbearably, as the death eaters shoved her along into the forest. Sirius broke free of Voldemort's grasp, and ran after Lilly. Hermione tried to go with him, but he promptly shook his head. Hermione and Harry were staring at each other, horrorstruck. They each looked back at Voldemort. "Flipendo!" Hermione yelled. Voldemort went backwards, but he managed to snatch his wand from Hermione's hand and do the same thing that he did to Sirius to her. "Bow to the dark lord!" Voldemort screamed in her ear. "NO!" Hermione yelled. "I tell you again," Voldemort hissed, "BOW TO THE DARK LORD!" Voldemort's face was burning with rage now, and Hermione knew that this was the end of her. "NEVER!" She yelled back. "Very well... but choosing to die is not wise..." Voldemort said, smiling. Hermione had started to cry. "CRUCIO!" He yelled, and Hermione fell to the ground as Voldemort walked away, and did what he had done to Sirius and herself to Ginny. He tortured Ginny too and she cried and cried and cried until Mrs. Weasley came over and reversed the spell. Suddenly, the pain stopped. Hermione cried as her tears hit the dirt ground. She screamed now and then, and then she could see Voldemort standing over her. She tried to hold her wand up to defend herself, and she tried to murmur, Reducto, but she was too weak. She saw Ginny, Mr. Weasley, Mrs. Weasley, Sirius, and Harry all tied up, and she screamed so loudly as her skull felt like it was being crushed. She yelled so loudly that the United States could hear, as the green blare of light blasted into her stomach, and killed her. Harry stared at Hermione's dead body. He started to cry. He stared at Voldemort with so much raging, murderous hate. Before Harry could yell, "Avada Kedavra"  Arthur Weasley sprinted in front of Voldemort, and killed him. "AVADA KEDAVRA!" Harry yelled, and he wiped out every death eater there. He suddenly heard silence. No more excruciating screams of pain, no more jinxes or hexes. Lilly and Sirius walked out of the forest, Lilly bleeding at the head, limping, and still moaning as she grasped her chest. When she saw Hermione's dead body, she screamed and ran over to her. She was grieving, screaming, and crying over Hermione. Sirius was standing over her, crying many tears, but having to conceal it. Harry had walked over to them, and Sirius hugged him so tightly that he almost stopped breathing. Harry thought his life to be pointless now.
